“Breathtaking”
Reviewed 5 April 2012 for a stay in March 2012

Stayed at Villa Puri Purnama for 10 days with my kids and parents. Had an amazing time.
We loved waking up to the sound of the waves and the view of the spectacular sunrise.
The black sand beach and view of mount aggung was just beautiful.
It's an awesome place if your one trying to get away from all the noise and crowd.

A special Thanks to Paula, Isa and all the friendly staff for making our stay a pleasant one. Hope to see you again soon.

“A peaceful and relaxing place to stay”
Reviewed 27 February 2012 for a stay in January 2012

My wife and I with our 3 teeenaged boys stayed at Villa Puri Purnama for 4 nights in January. We stayed in the new Beach Studio rooms and they were brilliant. They are literally right on the beach with a view over the water. The sound of waves lulled us to sleep each night. The villas are beautifully furnished, spacious and have a lovely verandah looking out over the beach.
The entire property is well maitained with a great pool to relax in. We had our meals in the dining room each day prepared by Putu who is a marvelous cook, and provided us with a variety of amazing meals. (breakfast, lunch and dinner when we wanted it).
You can also ask Putu to go to the local warung and get take aways for dinner in fact nothing was too much trouble for all the staff who went out of their way to assist us with any requests.
The village is extremely quiet, a fantastic place for a relaxing holiday after spending time in the hustle and bustle of Sanur and Kuta, the boys were kept happy with Keramas (surf) being within walking distance.
There are also a couple of small warungs on the beach just near the villas and rice fields out the back. A great place to stay if you want to experience the real Bali. Definitely a place to return to.

“Exquisite Property”

This is a breathtakingly beautiful property. And very well maintained. Once you get here, you wont feel like going out to explore Bali, so reserve plenty of time for enjoying the villa. Best enjoyed with a few friends.

The villa is right on the beach. The beach next to the villa is quiet and peaceful and has black sand. One can take long walks in the dark on the beach, uninterrupted by any form of hustle bustle.

The pool is perfect for a group of 6-8, and has warm water flowing in, during the evenings. It overlooks the sea. Coconut trees border the property.
One can enoy an evening sipping wine on the terrace and gazing at the sea. The house is tastefully decorated with plenty of classy wood and cushions all over.

The rooms are comfortable and of almost 5 star quality, the bathrooms being close to perfection. Check for hot water in advance and let the staff know, if the water's not hot. They will fix it.

The staff is discreet and helpful. Very cooperative and hospitable, which helps overcome the language barrier with ease. They are happy to fetch you alcohol when you run out of it. Paula, the owner, is brisk and businesslike, and very professional about arranging tours and transport for you.

Food was nice, though the breakfast could have been better.

The only downside is the location. Its a little far from the rest of Bali, and apart from a widlife park, there is nothing much to do around. In fact there are not many shops within walking distance either, so if there's something you need from a shop, buy it on one of your sightseeing trips. However, the villa has a car, which is very conveninet and which you can hire at reasonable rates. There is a spa in the one of the nearby villas though, which can be booked through the staff.

“Magic”
Reviewed 3 February 2012 for a stay in January 2012

My husband, 15 year old son and myself stayed at the villa for 2 nights as part of a 2 week holiday in Bali. We stayed in the 2 new beachfront cottages which were lovely - private, large and nicely decorated with a beautiful balcony, and right on the beach. Stunning location.
Paula, the owner, and the staff were very welcoming and hospitable. A special mention to Putu, the housekeeper and cook - nothing was too much trouble for her. She even hopped onto her motorbike to go and get us dinner from a local takeaway. The food, by the way, was fantastic - mixed chicken and fish satays, noodles, rice, rendang - cheap and absolutely delicious.
Although located in a quiet little fishing village, there was a little stall just up the laneway selling cigarettes and beer, and it was only a short walk to the Bali Safari & Marine Park (highly recommended). There were restaurants in the next village, but we didn't try them.
Our son had a touch of Bali Belly when we arrived - Paula helped out with some medicine, and Putu helped out with her special chicken noodle soup - he was fine in no time.
We really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again, and probably for longer.

“The Highlight of our Honeymoon”
Reviewed 11 November 2011 for a stay in September 2011

I've visited Villa Puri Purnama in Sept 2011 with my wife, as a part of our Honeymoon in Indonesia. At first we were planning to spent only 1 night here and then proceed to Gili Islands for 2 weeks, including an Indonesian wedding ceremony. After we arrived to Villa Purnama we were so impressed by everything, that we cut our Gili vacation to 10 days in favor of returning to Purnama villa, and having the Indonesian wedding in it.
The location was great, right on the beach, which has amazing black sand (photos can't describe its beauty) and sea deep enough for swimming, even in low tide. The beach is almost empty most of the time, and is very romantic.
Ubud is 30-40 minutes away, so is the Bird/Reptile park. Denpasar airport - 1.3hours or 1 hour, depends on traffic. Padangbai harbor - about 1 hour.
We’ve stayed at Guest cottage which was large, with big king bed, has a great view of the sea right from the room. A/C, big open air bathroom, TV with cable channels/ DVD, anything you may need. Second floor is a veranda with stunning view of the sea. It has coaches and a small daybed for relaxing in the shade.
The owner- Paula- was super helpful, starting with pre-booking back in August. We had a great 1st dinner of Honeymoon, set near the pool, with local seafood (spicy tuna..yummy) and sparkling wine. She also arranged transfers to and from Padangbai Harbor, on our return – trip to Ubud, spa procedures at nearby spa and of course – our Indonesian wedding, which was a great experience for us.
Would definitely love to go back, and we’re thinking about these days spent at Villa Puri Purnama as a highlight of our 3 week Honeymoon.
