We stayed here 3 nights. It is a nice 4 star hotel in Varanasi. The rooms are small but they are clean. The Indian restaurant is really fantastic. There are not a lot of great hotels in Varanasi but for 2-3 nights (which is enough) this hotel is good enough. We would recommend it !

My family, husband, daughters (13 & 11) visited this incredible place in October. This hotel is not the caliber of other hotels in India. However, it is a convenient location to be able to explore this amazing spiritual place. The rooms are clean and basic. The food is mediocre and a bit overpriced. But Varanasi challenges all of your senses in a way that a basic hotel is a nice break from the chaos in the streets.

stayed here for two nights in later Feb 2012.

Rooms: Like the Taj Gateway in Agra, the safes were 'free floating', ie no use at all. The bed and furniture were comfortable, but the bathroom had seen better days and really needed to be refitted. We were at the back of the hotel and so heard nothing of the incessant street noise at the front. If you are unlucky and get a front room you may not sleep.

Food: We used both restaurants, The buffet was good, with a good selection, but was very busy. When we tried to book for a second evening, we were told that booking was not possible, but when we returned later several tables had amazingly become 'reserved'. How this happened I leave to the readers imagination. The a-la-carte at the front of the hotel was excellent though.

Grounds: well kept and good service at the pool (I ordered a beer and coke, with the expectation that a second beer and coke would be brought in three quarters of an hours time ... almost exactly 45 minutes later the second round of drinks arrived )

Overall, it just feels a bit rired and in need of closure for a month or so so that it can be repainted and polished.

Room Tip: get a rear facing room, the main road is very noisy

This is a hotel located near the ganges so it's not that long a trip to see the aarthi (we did it by rickshaw).
The staff at this hotel really made an impression; my father was not feeling too well and he was looked at so well by the staff-really above and beyond the call of duty.
There are large grounds where one can relax and a nice size pool.
Free and fast WiFi.
The only downside to this hotel are the bathrooms; they are definitely in need of some refurbishing.

The hotel has old-fashioned charm. The extensive grounds provide a restful place to get away from the noise and bustle of the city. The Indian restuarant in the hotel is excellent. There is another, less interesting restaurant with more varied cuisine. Wifi is available.
