We were a group of 50 of all ages and stayed for 2 nights. The rooms are simple, classic and the toilets were clean with sufficient hot water but available at specific timings. Room service has been good but the only downside we faced are the quality of the buffet. Our complaints were well taken and been rectified from the next meal onwards. Their lawn next to their portico and the one down the hill are just fantastic and guaranteed, one can endless fun outdoors if you got a good group.

They also allowed decent loud music until 10:30 pm and also have good camp fire set ups.

Take aways: It s more beautiful on the outside(garden) than the inside of the hotel. On the pricey side. Buffet service can be better. Worth staying there and worth recommending.

Room Tip: Take your morning shower before 10:00 am

Visited the hotel during the first weekend of April 2018 with my wife. Stayed in Classic Cottage. Big rooms, average furniture. Food was average. Avoid soups and pasta. Breakfast was not amazing either. The best part about the hotel is the well maintained lawns. But definitely overpriced considering the other properties available in Ooty.

If you are going here for a stay you better be loaded. The good rooms come at a considerably expensive price tag, and the moderately priced rooms aren't that great at all. Location is a bit away from the main city, good if you want to stay away from it, bad if you want to go shopping all the time. Hot water is available in the bathrooms, so that is a big plus.
The food is pretty good, not the best, but pretty good, but expensive. When I visited, my room fee equaled my food bill, so go figure.
Their gardens are very well maintained.

Room Tip: Common Mess/Restaurant area doesn't have great ambiance. Best to eat at your room.

The first thing you notice about this place as you enter is its grandeur; you are transcended to a different era altogether. A Victorian Bungalow spread on a sprawling mountaintop; yes, life apparently can't get better than this!
We booked the classic cottage rooms, they were spacious and were situated on a beautiful lawn which had trimmed grasses, untamed trees, and flowers and portico-furnitures. The place has multiple gardens all of which is well maintained. It is in the proximity of the important tourist attractions in Ooty like the Ooty lake, Rosegarden and Botanical garden.
Now, coming to the service; the receptionist was very helpful. However, you will not be much pleased with the service at the restaurant. We ordered our dinner around 7:30 pm and wanted it to be served around 9:30. However, in spite of such an early order, we had to wait for almost 30minutes before being served. The food was pricey and not tasty. For once, we ordered pot coffee to be served on the lawn; not only did it take forever to be served but also tasted awful.
We had complimentary breakfast with our stay. The breakfast buffet had limited options and it really needs to be enhanced is what we felt.
So, if you are not so much of a foodie or can manage to eat out, you will not get a better stay than this one. This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful hotels I have visited and the pictures I am posting will surely vouch for the same.

Room Tip: Go for the Classic-cottage rooms!

I stayed in vantage suit on 26-27 Dec, it’s awesome place, close to the city center and may attractions. But poorly managed.
- Service is very slow, both the room service and restaurant. I asked for fresh towels, they arrived after 3Hrs that to after follow-ups. I was having neck ache, requested for hot water bag. That never arrived.
- Worst part is the resort is also rented for other activities like marriage functions, film shooting etc. They restrict the hotel guests access to those areas when the event is happening. What’s fun if you are not allowed to roam around in the resort and made to sit in the room. The hotel owners should seriously think of not renting it for other activates during the peak seasons when they are charging twice the normal price.
- Hot water is available only between 6:30AM to 10AM and 6:30PM to 10PM. It was surprising to see limited hot water availability in a place where water is freezing even during day time. You cannot plan for any early morning site seeing if you stay this it place.
