Fyi.. it closes by 5 whereas Google says 6.30.. it was an ok experience.. the view was normal. Can be visited once.. lots of tourists visiting the place with not many precautions for covid so please take care.

Unfortunately Dodda betta peak is closed for tourists due to Covid. It was sad that we went there only to know it was closed, however the drive was good and there are quite a few spots on the roadside where u get breathtaking Views of the mountain range..

This is true Beauty of western ghats, when you reach over the highest point of Nilgiri region.
People must visit this place. You will love this if you go with bike with protection (ppe).
Transportation is normal.

Very good experience with doddabetta peak.Most beautiful place in ooty and You feel that you are in between cloud. The weather is very cold and clean. Doddabetta peak is the highest point in the nilgiri mountains range.We had to walk or climb the stairs. This place is not far off from Botanical Garden.

Doddabetta means big hill in kannada. Some Facts about doddabetta peak - it is the highest peak in Nilgiri range of Mountains, whereas highest peak in south india is Anamudi in Munnar - Kerala.
Doddabetta peak is located on ooty-kotagiri road. From main road roughly 7-8 km uphill drive through reserved forest is really amazing.
From the view point one can see ooty city and valley below. This point offer breathtaking views.
