We stayed in CAG for 1 night after our trip to Ooty. We feld, it was a great choice, since the city is very busy, dusty and noisy. CAG Pride gibes you a break. The dinner - which was included in our tariff - was very, very nice!!!!

CAG pride has been the place where I have stayed a number of times and the experience has always been very good.

However, when I checked into CAG pride this time I was in for a rude shock. I noticed that the place had changed considerably in the last 5 years. The smiling pleasant staff had been replaced by stiff necked staff with plastic smiles. Our room had a musty odor, it seemed as though they had forgotten to air the room.

When we went to have dinner in the restaurant, the buffet served badly cooked food and the restaurant staff had to be asked repeatedly to place cutlery on our table. Breakfast was no better.

We had to extend our stay in coimbatore for a day, so we informed the reception about the change in our plans. After which we were called at least 3 times to ask when are we leaving.

In my next visit to Coimbatore I'm sure to check out the newer hotels which have opened in Coimbatore.

This hotel is located right in the middle of the city. Just a walk across to the shopping/ Bus locations. Hotel facilities are pretty decent. This hotel has some good business meeting facilities, which we had used (Cannot say the best - but serves the right budget). Very warm & friendly staff. Would defenitely stay here again.

Coimbatore is a big city so one would hope that it would have a hotel offering the standards one would expect in a big city. The CAG pride delivered with aplomb. Online booking was fine, and the room was available as reserved.

The greeting from security and concierge through to front desk was smooth. Though a more coporate/business oriented rather than a tourist hotel, the welcome included cold towel and juice on arrival, which was a welcome touch after cycling through Coimbatore's mental traffic.
The room rate included complimentary buffet dinner and breakfast, water in room and free WiFi access, which worked fine.

The rooms are well appointed, very clean, comfortable, with a good desk, effective temperature control, fridge and TV.

The CAG pride is certainly not the most exciting hotel in the world, but it provides a professional high standard of accommodation at a remarkably reasonable cost. For anyone staying in Coimbatore for a night or two whether on business or prior to getting a train in to the Nilgiris, the CAG Pride would be a good place to stay. Congratulations to the hotel on getting so many things "right."

Simply mind blowing , it was a official tour the food here was very nice specially north Indian dishes that i was not expecting. but the bad thing is there is nothing to outside this hotel . But expect that good things are like hotel is very near to market bus stand and evry place that makes this the good affordable option to stay.

Room Tip: Take a room on 3rd floor interiors are better
