This place is absolutely amazing! We can not say enough nice things about Sher Bagh. The luxury tents were so comfortable and after every safari a staff member met you at the gate with a cold wet towel and refreshing drink. My husband and I did use the spa services and after a bumpy ride on safari, the message was wonderful. We even had little gifts left for us each night with the turn down service. We would have stayed longer if we had known how nice this place was beforehand!

We spent a couple of days here and no words can describe how incredible this is. It’s based in the colonial days of India with “tents “ incredibly luxurious with air conditioning, flushing toilets, amazing shower and everting and more you would have in a hotel room. You go to bed with sounds of tropical birds, monkeys and sheer tranquility. You are met in arrival with a lovely host, sparkling wine and a cold facecloth to refresh you after your journey. On our first night we met around the campfire (although it was too hot to actually have a fire!). We chatted with other guests then were shown the lantern/candlelit area where we would be dining. It was the most romantic destination you could ever describe, eating under the stars. The outdoor bar was again all lit by candle light to add to the ambience. They change location each night. All staff are excellent and cannot do enough to help you. You can eat drunk what you want and where you want it!!! Food was top class hotel food presented impeccably and extremely tasty with dietary needs catered for. We had 3 half day safaris to Ranthambore National Park In the Jeep and saw a tiger, sloth bear, peacocks, various types of deer and monkeys etc. It was really bumpy so not for those with back issues or has an upset stomach! Spa was amazing - opted for full body massage- really relaxing after a bumpy ride!!! Pool is small and cold in a haven of tranquility. Absolutely loved everything about this luxurious venue. Well worth the expense for something that you will remember forever.......I will.

This is a tented camp close to Ranthambore Park. There are only 12 tents I think.
Because the camp is small the staff are very attentive .We had a warm greeting with drinks and cool towels when we arrived from Agra ( which is quite a long bumpy drive ). EVERY member staff was excellent, and clearly wanted to ensure we had a good stay.
The tents are very comfortable and had everything we needed. Beds are comfy. The WiFi works well and signal was good .All meals are included, we enjoyed the food .Drinks are charged... it’s not written anywhere (that I saw )what they charge , but it’s not cheap.
We had a dip in the pool when relaxing in the afternoon, and I used the spa.
I wasn’t too impressed with the spa treatment, I had a facial and found it a bit heavy handed.Perhaps personal preference.

They wake you in the morning with hot drinks brought to your tent and have porridge if you want it to eat before you set off. They also send snacks or breakfast out with the jeep. You have to get up super early to set off for the park. This accommodation has their own vehicles . Be warned .. there is no shade , and chilly at first until the sun is up. Take a light jacket , hat and sun screen . If you have it a scarf to cover your mouth it is very dusty. Especially if you do half or full day drive. We did a half day on one day to maximise our chances of seeing tigers .
They provide binoculars, dust mask and glasses , but take them if you have them .
Our guide and driver were both excellent, and the guide was extremely experienced.
We were very lucky to see several tigers and a leopard over 2 mornings .
It really is a matter of luck though
The stay was wonderful and I would recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting the park.

Dear Monica ,

Thank you for taking the time to write about your stay with us at SUJÁN Sher Bagh. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Yes there are just 12 tents at this camp .

Thank you for your comments and feedback, especially about the Spa which we will feedback to our therapists and we only apologise it didn't meet your preferences and hope at the time you mentioned this in your treatment as adjustments would have immediately been made.

Regarding the jeeps and your comments about the shade- we do have shade covers for our jeeps should any guest prefer or request. We find most our guests like to be in the sunshine and uncovered which is why we don't have them on permanently but they are certainly there and available.

You had wonderful luck with your sightings and we were so happy you saw the magnificent tigers and a leopard on your drives.

We very much hope we will have the chance to welcome you back to SUJÁN soon.

With love,
The SUJÁN Family

This is 'glamping' at its very best! Situated not more than 10 minutes from the main gates into Ranthambore National Park it is a haven of peace from all the hustle and bustle that is India.
The dozen tents are very spacious and comfortable and the staff are wonderful. Based on old colonial values the service is attentive and impeccable.
Their daily routine surrounds and compliments the twice daily game drives into the park. An early morning call with tea, coffee and biscuits delivered to the tent. After the morning game drive breakfast in the mess tea is well received. Perhaps the best part of the day is early evening, when following the afternoon game drive and a welcome hot shower all the guests meet around the 'camp fire' for drinks and to chat over the days events.
The evening meal is usually 'al fresco' at various venues inside the camp site. A nice touch.
All in all a first class base that we would happily recommend to anyone (however I would question taking small children)

Simply an amazing place to stay and pretty much faultless from start to finish.

After escaping the mayhem of Delhi & Agra, and an enjoyable train ride into Ranthambore, it was just a short hop by local jeep from the train station to the wonderful camp at Sher Bagh.

After a friendly greeting, with fresh towels and refreshing drinks, we were shown straight to our impressively spacious tents - definitely more glamping than cosy!

Then straight down to have pre-dinner drinks by the open fire, with lovely appetisers topping us up. Could have stayed there all night, but dinner called and that was equally delicious, albeit seen under the soft candlelight. We were a bit worried about possible mozzies, but never saw one the whole time.

Loved our 3 game drives and were very lucky to see a female tiger one hour into our first drive. Be prepared for some bumpy trails as the terrain is very different from Africa and there's lots of bumps and rocky trails to negotiate.

Personal tip - the mornings can be very chilly so do remember to wrap up & also try the porridge they serve before you head out - with ginger, honey & a splash of brandy....yum!

Everything about our stay here was truly first class and must commend the whole team. They really have got it about as right as you can get.

Room Tip: All tents looked fab
