“Breathtaking fort”
Reviewed 5 March 2012

The most amazing sight we have visited in Rajasthan. While walking through the numerous storeys and rooms of the palace itself is very interesting, the highlight is standing on top of the fort walls and looking down onto the Blue City. You can really hear the city sounds, even though it's far below you.
Walk down back to city via a footpath that starts right of the entrance, near the bathrooms; no need to take the road. Not many travellers seem to find this footpath. It descends right into an interesting neighbourhood too.

“Stupendous”

Out of all the forts we visited this one impressed us the most, especially with the late afternoon light. Fantastic displays inside and audio included in price - don't miss it.

“Gorgeous fort”
Reviewed 4 March 2012

An absolute must do when in Rajasthan. Extremely photogenic. Beautiful views of the blue city from the top. Don't forget to buy dhurries in the fort. They are the cheapest and the most beautiful. Highly recommend spot. Very very clean and well maintained.

“Great place”
Reviewed 3 March 2012

It's one of the finest forts and palaces in the whole of Rajasthan. Audio guide is amazingly good for Indian standards and you don't need even a guidebook with it. We happen to be there during the Sufi festival where you get a free entry for a plenty of daily gigs with a plain 300 Rs ticket.

“The most impressive fort we saw.”
Reviewed 3 March 2012

Approaching Meherangarh Fort up the ramps , around the turns and through the nine gates it is easy to see why it was never successfully conquered by any enemy. The audio tour was very well done and informative. The view across the town from the battlements was awe-inspiring and it was also possible to see why Jodhpur was known as the "blue city".
It was well worth the half day we spent there.
