Kearatheeram is a great place to stay so near to the cliff top, beach and all the restaurants. Everyone is really friendly, it was the little boys birthday whilst I was there and everyone was invited to his party, great curry! The yoga on the rooftop is the best I have ever had in India , Gopakumar is so patience and helpful I learnt loads thank you

Due to changed travel plans we went back to Varkala for Xmas. Our previous hotel was fully booked but luckily someone recommended Keratheeram to us. This great homestay was a lovely surprise. When we called to inquire they immediately offered to pick us up from the train station and brought us to a pleasant clean and comfortable homestay just meters from the cliffwalk run by a very sweet family who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Don't miss the fabulous and professional yoga-classes on the rooftop every morning!

The hosts of this place have set the bar high. It will be hard for the rest of the accommodations to compete. They always provide the service at their earliest convenience. It has made our stay here in India one of the best memories ever. Hats off to them. If you are backpacking around the area and wanting some family-like hospitality, run off to this place and you won't be disappointed.

Me and a friend stayed at the Keratheeram for 3 weeks. The place is run by a beautiful, kind and caring family who looked after me whenever I need them - we were even invited to the birthday party of their son (who was 2 years old) in fact they invited thew whole hotel and guests at neighbouring hotels. The rooms are a very decent price, they are clean and comfortable. Many an hour we would chill on our little veranda, as they have tables, chairs and a hammock...So close to the cliff top and beach it's a perfect place to stay...I shall be returning to Kerala in the new year and look forward to staying in my old room......

The Manager himself picked us up at the trainstation. Every morning fresh Chai for free! Possibility to get in contact with local people, as the family which is very friendly and helpfu. They live next to the hotel. Furthermore, everybody speaks a clear English.
The room was tidy at the beginning but hadn't been cleaned the next days (we stayed for 4 days). But we're fairly certain that they would have done it on request.
The rooms are not too big but there is also some space at the terrasse which includs a hammock. The beds were comfortable and protected by a mosquito-net. In the bathroom, everything worked well. The temperature was agreeable, so we didn't miss the A.C.
