We planned to stay in Trivandrum for 3 nights or so as part of a 3 week trip around Kerala. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by an unhelpful and unwelcoming young desk man. He was reluctant to answer questions about the price of the hotel and seemed exasperated when we wanted to check the room and look at other hotels. The room was nothing more than a (rock hard) bed on the third floor, no sheets, dreary decor and double caged windows. The bathroom was very basic. and musty. There was no place to lay out clothes or space for large travelling luggage. Due to the quite central location it was very noisy at night time, a lot of the noise also came from the echo of slamming doors within the building. The fact that the hotel is in a good location for the train station and venturing into the centre of Trivandrum is the only reason I have rated this as a 2 star instead of 1 star. Don't trust travelling books that recommend this as a place to stay.

Room Tip: Don't, explore other local options for other hotels.

Clean room, central location, kind people, great price. Inn the middle of town, but away from the main streets. Laundry delivered in a day. Bus stop, train station, very close. Temple and zoo within reach.

Stayed here for just a night between destinations. Room was pretty clean, good location, quiet rooms. The staff isn't too helpful, we has some issues with the wifi connection and it took a while for the receptionist to allow us to reset the router. Other then that, a very pleasant stay.

Room Tip: There are a couple rooms with windows into the stair area, request not to stay in thee ones as they are more noisy then the quiet ally.

Wonderful budget room with heaps of character. Stayed here three nights and had the best sleep of our trip so far. Love the all pink decor, windows opening onto windows, half curtain and print of a ship. Very good value and close to the bus stand but not too noisy.

I paid 480 rupees for the room, which was small but suitable for me. The room was reasonably clean and the location is very good, in a quiet street but not too far from the bus- and trainstation.
They also provided information about train tables to varkala and were generally kind and helpful.
I would stay there again.
