“Fort Cochin's best kept secret”
Reviewed 8 February 2012

In a last minute booking from the airport we took a taxi to Greenix Village with the knowledge that it wasn't fancy. However we were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves staying at a museum, cultural show and spa. Yes it was simple but very comfortable and an extremely good room rate. The staff were wonderful and the cultural performance was terrific (you know how they can often be incredibly corny). The day staff also played, acted and danced in the evening show. We took a yoga lesson whist staying and although we ran out of time to use the spa it looked professional and clean. There was a terrific little cafe up the street. Excellent budget or mid-range accommodation.

“Martial arts were amazing!”
Reviewed 31 January 2012

Went for the cultural show which consists of 7 different dances.....most were highly entertaining. The martial arts especially was brilliant! Started off with the make-up session which was also great to watch. The ambiance of the place is also great...lovely corridor with gorgeous paintings all over the walls. There is a museum there but i didn't get to check it out.

“Visit the Kathakali performance, amazing.”
Reviewed 21 January 2012

We bought tickets for the performance at Greenix Village (R.900 for two people for the 7 act Cultural performance). The show is both fascinating and spellbinding. The show lasts 1 1/2 hours but you can visit earlier to watch the artists apply their extravagent make-up. Well worth the visit.

“good cultural survey”
Reviewed 20 January 2012

We watched the Kathakali dancers put on their makeup then saw the cultural show which was a survey of regional dance. Music was recorded and a bit weirdly modern but nice to see as a basis for exploring local culture. Auditorium had A/C and comfy seats. There was also a Kathakali dance show available.
