Perhaps it was because of a long trip to India and Nepal, but this place seemed like Paradise to us, prior to our flight back to the U.S. Everything about it is exquisite...the room design, the lobby, the bar, the restaurant. Even the gift shop is outstanding. Having passed through the rest of Gurgaon, this was like another world. Our stay was far too short. I would liked to have stayed a week in this sybaritic luxury!

Room Tip: The higher the better, as there is a busy expressway next door. The view is panoramic.

Read Larry Abroads review!

It mirrors my experience of all of my many visits to this hotel.

May still be a tad too pricey for the one off user but for those with premium membership this is really a credit to the Crowne Plaza brand.

Just outside Delhi. 1 hours to go to delhi center on Sunday.. Maybe impossible on weekdays ;-).
Service is good.
Food is reasonable.
Cannot say for the message was always full. So either to small are too good.

It's close to the new business districts.

Stayed here for a couple of days with my family. I like the decor and the feel of the hotel. The service was upto the mark as well - but i think it still has a few rough edges as far as the hotel infra goes.

I've used this hotel twice in the last 4 months while being in India for business. I have platinum membership so some of the feature reviewed might require additional cost.

The Welcome:

Arranged for a pickup from the airport, which was quick and courteous, good driver who maintained good driving standards (i.e. Didn't drive the car like it was a go-kart) . Helped me me feel very welcome and relaxed after the long flight.

If you haven't travelled in India before, be prepared to be surprised when the car is stopped at the hotel for a Bomb check, and your bags are whisked off for scanning, this happens at all hotels in Delhi (and I think throughout India) it's done very quickly and with the minimum of fuss.

Reception staff were effiecient, was checked in quickly.

The Hotel:

This is a very nice looking hotel lots of brown marble (type) surfaces, a beautiful bar, two restaurants (one A la Carte, one Buffet style also used for Breakfast) and a pasty counter. There is a Club lounge on the first floor which provides free drinks (alcoholic, after 17:30) and snacks, which requires either a specific room type or membership to the IHG group scheme. I have been to many of these lounges in several countries and this is the best lounge by far.. in terms of service from the staff, size, comfort, ability to relax - this is a great benefit.

There is an issue you will notice, not specific to the hotel, especially during the afternoon, where the power may drop for 5-10 seconds. It always comes back on - but was a little surprising the first trip I made.

The bar is very relaxed, range of local and imported beers - get's expensive for imported beers/spriits. Quick Service

I only used the buffet restaurant, and the food was excellent and it allowed me to try a range of India food. Chef's were on had to help with choices and make other/fresh if you wanted.

The Room:

Large, very comfortable double bed - excellent desk space for working. Good sized TV, and a fantastic bathroom - with separate bath and shower cubicle (which has great pressure).

This was really relaxing place to be at the end of you day. Didn't hear any noise from any other rooms.

Room Tip: If you have IHG group membership - you'll collect points and they may upgrade your room. Both rooms I had were excellent - but a Pool view room is a better view.
