I went there with my wife & 2 kids (6 & 2) for a weekend trip.
ROOM (4.5 / 5):- Stayed in Room # 203 which I found 'extremely' nice - it's a mud cottage // do NOT expect five star 'hotel room' kinda ambience // the room as 'almost' close to XL size. Bed was big enough to take all 4 of us in it's lap, very comfortably. Bathroom was big too. Room # 203 and 204 are in same compound and the ONLY rooms with a wonderful view of swimming pool. From my observation, I think none of ANY other rooms/tents have any sort off swimming pool view. I found 203 to have the BEST view, probably the view from 204 would not have been straight while lying in your bed. Telephone never worked, but, we never complained too as I was happy to directly talk to my room service guy via mobile. Before visiting, I inquired whether electric kettle will be provided and was told NO. So, I carried my own. But, a kind person walked in to the room with the same and lots off tea/coffee sachets :-)
HOUSEKEEPING (4.5 / 5):- Very well done. I could see a slight room for improvement here, as the dustbins do not have a lid. These are not our regular plastic ones covered with lids. While they do gel with the aesthetics of room decor, but, I still think they need to come up with some innovative idea to cover them up while maintaining the aesthetics.
FOOD (4 / 5):- It's only when the food was served in our room, I realized that we forgot to mention to them to NOT put masala / spices in food. And, it was PERFECT. Extremely well cooked, low on spices, HOT & YUMMY... Kadai Paneer was the 'highlight'. During our entire stay, every time they prepared separate requested food items (parantha, khichdi, etc.) for my 2 yr old one. While they mentioned availability of fruits in breakfast, but, it was only puri-sabzi, bread-butter-jam, boiled egg/omelet & tropicana juice (which we avoided).
STAFF (5 / 5):- Everyone in Every department was extremely courteous. We mainly interacted with Shalabh Singh (admin head), Krishna & Bunty (room service folks). There were many others with one-time interaction for my never ending requests (thanks to my smaller one) - they were all kind as well.
PROPERTY (6 / 5):- no, it's no a typo error. I mean hats off the way everyone is maintaining this space 24/7. It can get a bit 'alone' in night as you are on your own in a cottage with lush gardens outside. But, they have security guards. Do keep the room closed, as i saw couple of dogs roaming around outside the door of my room. Gunman came in night to alert us of our stuff lying outside, as dogs could have taken them away. HUUUUGE LUSH GREEN gardens. Simply fantastic.
ACTIVITIES (4 / 5):- You can get to know the activities from their website (those within the package and chargaeble ones). We participated in few of them and I was thrilled as my kids really enjoyed every nano-second of these. They must fill those patches in the basketball court, as one can fall. There was a group of 100 for a day-out playing volleyball, cricket, basketball and still we 4 had AMPLE amount of space to play our own stuff. BTW, it would be nice to carry your own badminton, football, etc. if you want to spend time that way.
It rained heavily with hailstorm in night - so, felt WONDERFULLY close to 'Nature'. It gave us a feeling of being in GOA & KASAULI at the same moment.
