A welcome respite from the overcrowded, noisy restaurants in Ahmedabad- that's the first impression you get!
The location is good. Because it's slightly far off the S G highway and may be a bit overpriced (only as compared to the other food joints in Ahmedabad), you get to see a different set of people all together. Thank god for that- because the clientele here looked more civilised than mothers screaming at their wailing kids and the fathers talking loudly on their mobile phones!
The rooftop is beautiful. Not a view except the highway, but rainy days and early evenings would be fantastic. Ambience- nice... more legroom, tables spread out, live music, fancy coloured table lamps to make up for the lack of candles!
Food- Fine dine, delicious, well presented.
Service- this is one area that is disappointing. They are good people but too slow on their feet. The waiters are not paying much attention to the tables and one would find them huddled in a corner and laughing at their own jokes. We had a splash of rain and had to change tables, and yet despite calling several times... over food was soaked wet before we could eat it! Laid back service overall is the feeling you get.
Minus that, this place is definitely recommended for anyone who doesn't like a long wait on weekends (which is usually the case in Ahmedabad), and wants a respite from pav bhaji, dhoklas and noisy people!
