I expected a lot more from a hotel by Marriott. My company had hired the hotel for an official event which my department was coordinating. We were utterly disappointed by the tone and behaviour of our corporate account manager. Imagine as a paying customer, you being told and I quote "Can't you guys check within yourselves"! or "I don't think I am able to accomodate your calls so many times" . And then the harrasment of payment which required us to swipe our personal credit cards as the hotel was not willing to trust a 100 year old company. FYI the company had booked 16 rooms and 1 banquetting facility and was ready to give any undertaking as needed
The bright spot however, was the events management executive who were not only cordial but so helpful, it seemed he was a part of our team rather than on the side of the hotel.
The rooms were spacious and nicely laid out.
Their breakfast spread was good, but room service menu was rather constricted. I was personally disappointed with their banquette food which was almost comparable to a 'shaadi' party food.
All in all, had the events manager not been as helpful as he was, I think, my rating would have been poor.More
