My favourite place to eat in Ahmedabad Quick service and delicious food. Loved their fresh Guava ice cream.

The food was serenely authentic to the tradition. We had ordered Panki Chatni, Udhiyu - Bajari Rotla, Dhan Shak - Bhat, Dal Dhokla, Sukhadi. Each item was well cooked and retained its authenticity and flavour. For example the Panki Chatni had the subtle sweetness and aroma from the banana leaf it was cooked in, the Sukhani was so perfectly crisp that it was not hard yet one can feel the crunch, the sweetness is subtle and will not scream at the taste buds.
The bill for three of us was around 1,400 and considering the quality and the taste i think the dishes are well priced.
If you are in Ahmedabad this is a place you must visit without fail. I wish them luck and hope they keep up the standard and taste.
We stopped off here twice during our stay in Ahmedabad. Once for just chai, which was expensive, and the next time for snacks while shopping at the law garden shops. The upstairs area is quite nice. Our local friends said we must try "Panki", which we did. I loved it, my husband says his favorite is sabudana kichdi (which is actually maharashtrian).
This is The Place to go to if you plan to try out the traditional Gujarati food. Simple yet elegant ambiance and always buzzing with people. Everything we tasted was just awesome.
The only thing that disappointed us was one of their staff who insisted on not going through the menu and simply rely on his recommendations which at the end lead to a lot of food on the table which we could not finish.
A contemporary place--that seems to always be crowded!
A wide-ranging menu. As an American, many of the dishes were new to me.
I don't remember the names of things, but everything was good!
Dishes are meant to be shared--sort of like Chinese dim sum.
We were a large group and they were able to accommodate us.
By American standards, the price was very reasonable.
