Have been to this property for number of times when I visit Daman.

As per the owner’s say this property is 150 year old and was own by Portuguese and has been converted to Hotel with the same ambience of Portuguese culture.

Plus Points
Ancient Property and clean rooms in good Budget within the city area.
Rooms are of good size.
Hotel staff is helpful and gives quick services.
Management people keep on maintaining the property and have seen number of times little little renovations to upgrade the rooms to match the current standards.
Upper deck has large sitting area and is always a place of plenty of laughs n talks for our group.
Varieties of food in menu and breakfast is always a good meal for us over here.
Situated near to beach (3 to 5 minutes walk and you are on beach)

Minus points
Just opposite to property is a Police station, so never a chance to party at midnight in property.
In weekends, parking cars is lil difficult as hotel owns a small piece of land for parking and is always full in weekends.

Special Note: Room No. 04 is of king size and has triple occupancy.

Should try once, while you visit Daman.
Overall, Ancient Property in good price, helpful staff and succulent food in city area.

Hotel Marina
Owned by a Parsi family
This Hotel is in the heart of small Daman or Damao one of the former Portugues Enclaves At small Daman or Nani Daman
First glimpses very Portugues Design very impressive Furnitures and over all Design has the owner suggested a former portugues Lords House by the name of D’Cunha used to own this impressive building home now turned into a Hotel Marina.
The review of the menu
Great variety of starters, soups main courses and off course alcohol.
The prices a bit high but is expect due to having the Restaurant Ac air conditioned.
Over all great menu more Indian food only the back drop in the menu no Portuguese food which is expected due to no much Clients asking for it or no knowledge of it by the hotel.

This hotel is one of the best hotels in Daman. Situated at walking distance from Nani daman beach. Rooms have furniture made up of pure teak wood. Rooms are small but neat and clean. Food is good but not excellent. The furniture at display in the hotel is very nice. Staff is very courteous. Parking is very small but is ok considering the location of this hotel. Situated right opposite the police station. Value for money is what you get in this hotel.

I booked this hotel by reading the reviews for our family (of 12) trip which had 3 (4 Yr old) kids and 3 senior citizens. We knew this is no resort so nothing to complain about it at all. I had booked this considering we may not have a vehicle when we go to Daman to accommodate all. So having a hotel near to beach and in market with a reasonable price was something I preferred and this hotel provides all that. 4 Stars for that. But we still moved out of this hotel because
1. The ground floor rooms are very close to restaurant (and bar) which made uncomfortable.
2. Not much space for kids to play (I would not blame hotel for that because I knew this when I was booking)
3. Prawns biryani was not good. This was disappointing because everyone praised about the food in earlier review.
4. Ground floor rooms need minor upgrades in bathrooms

Good things
1. Heritage and nice structure which I really liked
2. Location is near beach and market and you can just walk there
3. Very very helpful staff. Krishna was really helpful. Even security guards were always ready to help.
4. First floor rooms are much better and upgraded. They also have common area on first floor.

So although we moved out in a day (instead of our 4 day trip) and shifted to Silver Sands but we kept coming near Marina for Shopping :).

Room tip: First floor rooms are better
