What can you say, this is a great hotel, with 4 very clean good swimming pools, a lovely beach if you like sand, we preferred the 4th pool by the beach, there is also a Quite pool for adults only. When we arrived we were offered a room near the restaurant, but we said we would prefer a room in a quite area which they gave us, the room was very clean and a good size, but the bathroom did need updating, but that was not a problem. the food we thought was very good, with plenty of choice, I don't know why people are moaning about the choice of food as there was always a good choice. The staff are very friendly and helpful and always smiling.
Now for the down side, we booked with Thomas Cook and had some problems with them before we went, are still tiring to sort it out but they won't answer my e-mails, the hotel is selling second hand book for £5, £1 new in asda. Free internet access would be nice, also they are working about 200 yards along the beach which is causing some noise in the afternoon. But all in all this is a great place to say

Hotel really well presented and staff are fantastic, however what lets this hotel down are the rooms. They are extremley poor and old, the rooms would not even compare to a 2 star hotel never mind a five star. Our first night was a bad experience when we were issued a room which was dirty, old and very outdated, with very little lighting (that worked). I complained the next day and we were moved rooms which was just as well, as in the morning we woke to a very bad smell coming from the bathroom. The new room was slightly better, but no were near 5 star. Other than the rooms, the hotel is great, food is to a very high standard and varied each day. The staff make you feel really special and go out of their way to ensure your holiday meets your expectations. The entertainment on the evening is poor and needs a rethink from the management, but overall, a great hotel (excluding the room situation) and would return (even with the 2 star rooms) this hotel is located in the best area, its own beach, near the supermarket, and Soho Square, which is nice to walk around (and you dont get the hassle unlike Naama Bay)

Room Tip: ask for a sea view room

We stayed here for a 1 week & just wanted to chill, enjoy the hot sun and for my husband to scuba dive a few times. As this was our 6th visit to Sharm & we really enjoyed this hotel & its location. The adult only pool is great really peaceful, great pool to dip in & out of just right and no selling trips or treatments which was great. We had a room with a fabulous sea view which we requested & really enjoyed sitting on the balcony. We always take a small travel kettle & sachet coffees for that morning / evening cuppa, great after hard day on the beach-pool. The food is OK, you wont starve. We really enjoyed Fatima's Beach grill at night, wonderful service, great to eat real Egyptian food, The Italian La Trattoria was OK not quite as attentive service, both are a nice change from main buffet. The shorts/spirits are a little robey, as are the cocktails, neither of us could taste the difference from the gin to the brandy to vodka, they all taste really awful. We couldn't stomach them so we gave up on them & drank our own duty free.
The only down side's is ALL the steps in the resort there hard work in the heat, and you have to take real care. The other is the cleaners back n forth knocking your door every half hour or so with 1 towel at a time just when your having a nap or a shower and then again first thing in the morning to service your room, We're on holiday....Use the Do not disturb sign or they will make a nuisance of them selves every 5 minutes, tipping didnt work they kept coming back n forth.
Its was very quiet when we were here, think there starting to feel the pinch a little since all the trouble with the revolution in Cairo, but we had no bother whats so ever. You feel very safe, loads of security around. We dont join in with hotel entertainment as we are kid free, just like to go for a stroll in the evenings into Soho Square. Which is right next door, which is wonderful hassle free shopping or just browsing and to sit have a drink at the Fountain bar with dancers & music and watch the world go by is great way to chill. We did try the Ice bar which was great gimmick and a bit of a laugh,$1500. E Pounds with a Free drink, ha expensive fridge and drink really. The restaurants on Soho are lovely, We tried the Mandarin Bar on the street opp The Savoy entrance as they dont allow gentleman in with flip flops on upstairs in main restaurants, it was up in the 40 ties at night...and they must wear long trousers too. The Menu here you could mix n match from 4 different cuisines that are served upstairs anyway and I must admit it was one of the best curries I've ever had, truly wonderful food and service & few drinks all for £40 odd English pounds, lovely and very much worth it. The hotel staff are all very nice and helpful and efficient, when we had issue with no air con they were quick to sort problem and resolve matter with ease. As on check out we were allowed to keep room on free of charge for 3 hours extra great service, great place lovely staff and we will be returning, idea for guaranteed chill out in the sun.

Room Tip: Sea View rooms are a distance from main hotel.

In My opinion this hotel complex is not suitable for the following: disabled// people with walking difficulties// elderly. There is a grand staircase in the main building - to go to reception or out of complex it must be used , there is a lift but it is not working, ( there is a road around the building, with up/ down gradients). The accomodation is in blocks around the extensive and beautifull grounds, but more steps, some unavoidable .There is a mountain of steps to the beach ,or a very steep road.
On the plus side ,good clean rooms, friendly staff, 4 v/ good pools, food ok you will not starve. This complex is good option if you are fit , but if you are not fit it is not.

i can not recommend this place highly enough it was our first time there and was fantastic. I was very nervous about going there with all the trouble going on in the country and especially as i have 3 small children but i had nothing to worry about it could not of been safer. There are security everywhere and they are lovely.
So i don't waffle on here are the key points - staff in restaurants are fantastic and very helpful and great with the kids.
Pools are very clean and safe with lifeguards everywhere.
Kids club excellent my 3 year old and 9 year old loved it so make sure your kids try it at least once (great to have sunbathing time with no pestering!!!)
Animation team are the best really friendly great with kids and adults and lots of fun.
Rooms have everything you need fridge,t.v,bed and settee and very big. bathroom was ok but cleaning in there not great although my mother in laws was spotless i was just a typical British and didn't like to make a fuss until afterwards!!!
food was fine not the best choice but we never went hungry!!
bar staff at pool 1 near slides were pretty miserable but if you tip them well to begin with they will look after you we found that out too late on in the holiday but know for next time now.
beach was lovely but respect the coral it is very important to them and wouldn't say it's very children friendly but the pools make up for that.
I've had a couple of moans but in the bigger picture they are petty things and would not stop me going again it was fantastic my best holiday ever and will be returning in February.
hope this helps x
