ok let see where I want to start, the entrance couldnt be any better very luxery make fees like vip, the location is great unless you want the croud and the noise, you have to drive to it to Nema bay, I liked the location it is nice and quit and peacfull you can enjoy the pool, or walk down to the beach and enjoy the tropical fish, you can see them from the shore or walk on the small wood bridge they have and go for swim or scopa diving, or just snorkling it is great, if you not into salt water or you just want to tan, oh they have the best tan sea seat you can ever lay on. it is just wonderfull oh ya your food and drinks will come to you as well as the hooka if your into smoking hooka, over all the best vacation I ever had. DONT RECMOND IT FOR KIDS.

Room Tip: choos the villas room, they have the greatest view and they have a balcony or back yard you can set...

We returned to this hotel one year on and it is still very quiet. They gave us the same club suite, the service was excellent, the housekeeper checked when we wanted our room cleaned, the club lounge had our drinks ready each night, just perfect. We booked direct with the hotel by e mail and they were very patient in answering all our questions and we had a really good deal including complimentary transfers. I think the staff training is to a high standard and it shows, I am amazed that they can be so well motivated when there are so few people staying. We loved the food in the Silk Road and the Palm Grill is a great venue to sit outside overlooking the sea. We spent 2 weeks there and ate in the hotel every night and we were never disappointed. The Rotana Club is well worth the extra money. We will go back!

Room Tip: High floor sea facing and Club if your budget allows

Booked this hotel via Hayes and Jarvis together with Easyjet flights and got an amazing deal.

From reviewing the website photos, my girlfriend and I knew we would be in for something special.

The hotel is on four levels (down) leading several interconnected pool with plenty of sun loungers and an infinity pool, then steps go down further where there is a spa and further still to the sun loungers overlooking the sea and jetty where snorkelling can occur. Grand Rotana is HUGE!

Our room was well sized with it's own balcony area and is cleaned twice daily. Shower was lovely- like a wet room with very hot water. TV was an old skool CRT and there is wired broadband if you want, but alas no wifi in the rooms- but it's a holiday! There is an internet cafe on-site for those addicted to surfing the 'net.

The reception area is small but the lobby is huge. There is a desk next to reception with a sign next to it saying "Today's Happenings" were trips can be booked as well as taxis.

An escalator takes you one floor down to the main restaurant called Ramases where breakfast and evening meal is served as a buffet. The staff are very friendly and the food is very varied. The Sky Bar leads from this room where there is a bar serving shisha and occasional outdoor entertainment with a stunning view at night. One floor down is a Thai restaurant called Silk Road which serves very good food and has very attentive and well dressed staff/waiters. The next floor down is a ballroom which we did not use and the final floor down has a Mediterranean restaurant called Mezzaluna which is near the pool. Once again staff are very attentive and friendly. By the sea, there is a beach bar called Palms, which has an amazing view.

We went in January, but were surprised how hot it was- temperatures up to 28-30 degrees Celsius. I can't imagine how hot the Summer is.

Unfortunately due to the troubles in Egypt, which have affected Sharm too, the hotel was at 5% capacity when we arrived and this increased to 20% after a few days when a big conference arrived with families. This made the place more lively and was very interesting seeing Muslim families having fun- I loved seeing the different coloured and fashionable head dresses the women wore.

To get to Naama Bay (horrible tourist-heavy town) is a 20 minute journey, but there is a free shuttle bus from the hotel. Alas we never got to go to the Old Market town due to demonstrations on the anniversary of the bloodies day of the demonstrations in 2011.

Finally, for anyone interested in snorkelling and/or scuba diving. Camel Dive has a branch near the Palm bar on the beach where snorkel/mask/fins can be hired and a scuba dive can be booked, though you will be taken to Naama Bay by minibus for the diving. The very well made jetty which is constantly staffed is perfect for snorkelling.

All in all, due to the exchange rate, the holiday was not as expensive as I expected, but food and water at the Grand Rotana is pricey. We both had a great time at the resort and felt the staff made our stay pleasant. Our rep said that the hotel does not advertise itself well to foreigners, so I am wholeheartedly recommending this resort to anyone who wants to be treated like royalty for a week or two.

Room Tip: Rooms near the beach are liekly to be more expensive, but our room near the entrance was quiet and v...

If you are looking for a luxury hotel with calm but attractive surroundings with high class service, then you should chose Grand Hotel Rotana & Spa in Sharm El Sheikh,Egypt.
It's an exclusive hotel for elite class people who like comfort, charming ambience and tranquility.
This is really 5***** hotel with high class service, delicious food, lots of facilities.
It is more convenient rather for middle age people who prefer calm and luxury atmosphere.

Room Tip: it's a big territory with different style rooms. Some of them are near the beach, the others are p...

After our fifth visit to the Grand Rotana we still find it excellent. The staff go out of their way to make you welcome and the service they give is second to none. The choice and variety of food in the main resturant is superb and the hot food is hot.
The SILKS asian resturant is one of the finest we have every eaten in and we have only returned from Thailand 6 weeks ago.We would also recommend the Italian resturant and the crepes served down at the beach are the finest my husband has ever tasted.
The only complaint we had was that there was building work going on in the pool and the company HOTEL4U did not inform us,if they had we would have changed the dates we would have gone.
We noticed and difference in Namma BAY---THEY HAVE DEFINITELY TIDIED IT UP.and there is a greater variety of resturants suitable for the British palate.

Room Tip: We were in block 6 and on the 5th floor which is excellent.
