“Awesome resort”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 April 2012

Just returned back from the Resort and we had an awesome time. The Aqua park was great fun for the kids and for all ages!
Good choice of restaurants and bars. Resort staff were very friendly and nothing was too much to ask for. A great resort choice for the family.

Room Tip: All rooms are adequate for a family of 4. some concern for rooms with bunk beds as the top bunk is a...

We have just got back from a week the 1st week in April at Jungle Aqua Park with our two kids aged 11 & 7 years old.

The kids will love this resort as really does cater well for them. There was a film in English early evening every night & then later a 'show'. Don't get excited about this as was poor- was just audience partisapation in dancing on stage or games where the girls had to kiss as many men as they could!!
Though each evening they had a live singer outside resturants which were fantastic so you really didn't need to go to the show as you can sit with a drink & listen to the music outside.
Was cold in evenings so will need a warm jumper/coat but was getting warmer as holiday went on.

The hotel & grounds are absolutley spotless. There are always loads of staff clearing & cleaning at all times, always with a smile & very helpfull. Nothing is too much trouble & they really made you feel welcome.

The rooms were a good size with tv, fridge stocked with water, hairdryer & safe. Again spotless!
Upon arrive we were offered an 'upgrade' for $90, we declined & asked to see our room first!
We were shown with another English family to the room ( 5091) which was right next to kids club & no seating outside to speak off. To topp it off we were woken at 3am by the neighbours shouting & slamming doors!!!
So we asked to move & again was offered the 'upgrade' my husband declined & said we just wanted to be moved to another room. We were shown to a lovely room set around a pool ( great for kids) in a quieter setting.
Bumped into the other English family who asked to move next day like us but were only offered 'upgrade' at the extra cost and were given the same sort of room as us.
So ask nicely if you don't like the room, stick to your guns ( they will try to fob you off with 'the hotel is fully booked' !! ) and DON'T PAY THE UPGRADE !!!!

The pool was refreshing ( Freezing to you & me ) but am sure would get warmer as you get into may/june. Kids pool was lovely as is heated with slides & showers galore.Loads of sunbeds with lovely ' day beds' perfect for families though did get booked up early with towells even though clear signs said no reserving. Was up early one morning and watched ' the run' to save the best beds ( not sure what natinality they were !!!! ), was hilarious. Sunloungers round kids pools were partucularly busy however no need really as plenty to go around, we never went without a sunlounger.

We stayed round the pool outside our room a couple of days as was so quiet & the waiters came round taking orders for drinks.... what more could you ask for.

Food was delicious, have been to three AI in Egypt & this resort by far was the best. No funny tummies this holiday was very clean , even saw the chefs testing desserts with thermonitor to check cool enough. Kids loved fresh pancakes for breakfast but there was cereal, cakes, fresh fruit eggs toast ect....you won't starve & best bit is with the walking from your room to resturants you won't put on too much weight either!!

Lunch was great too, either take a meal in resturant to the 'fast food resturant' with endless chips/burgers/pizza/rolls/salad/pancakes ect

The small tubs of ice-cream in all the flavours of Chocolate/bananna/coffee/vinalla/ lemon & strawberry were fantastic for the kids & a real treat with an All Inclusive hotel.

Dinner was great too similar food but with each resturant having food to their theme ie had a delicious chicken tikki in the indian one night, was delicious & the King Prawns were amazing & huge!!

Plenty of fresh fruit to keep the kids in their 5 a day !

Coffee bar in reception needs a special mention with its menu for coffee/hot chocolate & milkshakes.....WOW delicious. The kids loved choosing a hot chocolate each nite before bed.

Dana Beach , we took the shuttle bus & then took it back 20 min later!!! Is rocky & the sea was full of jelly fishin the sea & on the beach . A staff member was actually walking along the shoreline catching them & removing them in a net !!! Only in Egypt !!! Was such a funny site as there really was hundreds of them, though did see people scooping them up so not sure it they would sting you or not ....didn't stop around to find out!

Had camel & horse rides on beach for 30 Euros for half hour ride up & down beach. Thought expensive as watched and was onlt 15 min trot up & down .

Wouldn't advise buying anything in the resort was very expensive compared to supermarket or shops down road. A postcard was 1 euro yet down road was two for 2 LE ( 24p approx)
Same goes for crisps/choc ect go to supermarket approx 32p for a bounty ( better than the £2.45 I paid at airport!!!) .
Would advise to change your money up there as exchange rate better & so easy to do with a cash point in reception in Engish! you can also take out exactly what you need as you go along.

If your kids like the games ( xbox, fairground type games) take some Euros or Dollars with you as the token machine to play the games doesn't take Egypition or English money.

Slides were great fun, yes some were closed at different times but still plenty to keep you squealing as you head for the cool water! and we found if you go at different times each day you'll get to go on all of them. The lazy river wasn't working while we were there but again looking great fun. Was never really busy & plenty of rings/mats ect..

My only moan was the 'sellers', yes are polite but were continuous ( I counted one day & had 9 'vist' us in a day ). Is just annoying being interupted all the time but I have to say a thank you no & they did go straight away.

So to sum this resort up it is great for the kids with plenty to keep the adults happy too.

The hotel was absolutely amazing and the water park was beyond brilliant. The ambiance was fantastic and everything was very well maintained. There was also a excellent range of food and everything was very clean and hygeneic.

We spent a week at the jungle aqua park in early March. It was fantastic!

We have 2 young kids - (2 and 4) and they loved it. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff polite and the pools are wonderful. We stayed in a larger family room but even the normal bungalows have a separate area with a bunk bed. Most rooms look out on to a secluded pool. Only the heated ones were warm enough for the little ones to swim in but ours were happy to paddle in the shallow end.

Food was good for an AI - much better than other AI's that we have been to and the wine was surprisingly palatable. The children's pools (2 of them) were great fun and the aqua park didn't have many queues. One of out favourite pools was the one with the inflatable boats and wave machine. If you are bringing children, I would recommend bringing an inflatable with you or buying one out there. Much more fun to be had that way!

The evenings were a bit quiet - which suited us. The temperature dropped a little but on several night, it was nice enough to sit out with a drink. There is an active kiddies disco every night which our little ones loved.

The hotel next door offered camel / horse rides (we were charged $2) and also a light show which was average. We did walk round the 3 sister hotels and Jungle Park was by far the nicest - spacious and uncrowded. The beach makes a bit of a change of scene but not really worth going to. It is man-made and all I saw in the water was a dead squid! We didn't feel the need to return to the beach with the vast array of pools in the resort itself. There is also a great supermarket 10 mins walk up the road which also has free wifi (otherwise 50 euros for the week).

It was nice hearing lots of different languages being spoken in the park - made it feel more away from home. We had no problems whatsoever with rude europeans!!

All in all - this resort is highly recommended - especially if you have kids who love swimming. I would look elsewhere if you want lots of snorkelling / diving (go to Sharm for coral was what all the locals were telling me!) The accommodation is not luxurious but very clean and comfortable. The pools, layout and vibe of the resort are what made it for us!

Room Tip: All standard bungalows can sleep 4, although there are larger family rooms available.
