Rooms are very clean. Great breakfast and very nice and kind staff also the kitchen chef. The restaurant has a lovely menu with great steaks. Good service and nearby diving centre Emperor. Beautiful view at the laguna. Had a wonderfull stay!

My stay at the hotel started on the wrong foot because they had double booked our room. We had booked a marina view room (they only have two) and upon arrival they told us none were available (due to problems with the room, which turned out to be untrue). We were then told that they knew this for 2 days and did not inform us so that they wouldn't ruin our holiday or have us cancel flights/travel arrangements. Totally unprofessional.

They then proceeded to find alternatives and had us look at several rooms at their other sister hotels, which were below par. In the end, they managed to convince the people who had already occupied our room to move to a different one.

They seem to be inexperienced when it comes to management and guest handling. They tried to be nice, but the overall attitude was unprofessional. They wanted to compensate us with a free dinner or a 10% discount. We told them that if that's their idea of a proper compensation then they can keep it to themselves. They then discounted the room rate, which we accepted.

Pros:

- The hotel is nicely renovated. It has a modern vibe, and the rooms look nice and clean.
- The location is excellent, right on the marina with immediate access to shops, bars, restaurants, and the beach.
- The breakfast was good, given that it's a 3-star hotel, and the restaurant (the Steakhouse at Captain's Inn) was pleasant.

Cons:

- The rooms are poorly lit, especially the bathroom. It's very dim and quite drab.
- The beds are absolutely horrible. Cheap spring mattresses that have you bouncing if the person next to you moves slightly. They're also quite small in terms of both width and length. So don't expect a good night's sleep.
- The rooms seem to smell either of an overpowering air freshener, or an overpowering cleaner. We checked 3 rooms and each had it's own distinctive overpowering smell. So if you're sensitive to smells, check out the room first.
- The regular rooms are quite small with a tiny window, so keep that in mind if you like plenty of space.
- Since it seems that they don't handle reservations properly, do call and confirm your arrival ahead of time.

Room tip: Marina view rooms are larger and better lit.

We stayed for 10 nights and enjoyed it very much, the rooms are clean and the location is directly at the Marina with lots of restaurants and bars around. Perfect hotel if you don't expect a luxury standard

I checked the reviews before booking this inn and most of it were so encouraging, after a long trip I finally reached there looking for a comfortable room and a nice view to relax but I was shocked by the room that I was offered!!
The price of the room is not cheap at all and it almost equals some 4-5 star hotels near by,
I was offered with my wife and two daughters a very small room in ground floor with only one small window that has no view
The room was so small and depressing that we couldn’t even stay for few minutes
I went back and asked to cancel my reservation but they said the first night will be withdrawn anyway so I didn’t have any choice but to pay more and upgrade to a suite (that was the only available at that time) to save the day.
I wasn’t offered any discount or even any sympathy with what I’ve to go through.
The front disk only stated that this hotel has special kind of guests that don’t mind what we offer them!!
The beach is 3 minutes walking but you have to cross by many restaurants and cafes carrying your towels and stuff
The swimming pool is in another hotel
The restaurant is in a second hotel
Generally I’d not recommend and I advise you not to get fooled by the reviews.
You can get yourself a better room with a better view in a much well organized and integrated hotel for same price
