Day trip to Asbury Park today. We landed at The Bonney Read for lunch. Go here for the crazy delicious meal of a bloody complete with shrimp, clam on the half shell, crab claw, bacon, olives, celery, limes, and an old bay rimmed glass. Also try the frosé (frozen rosé - a first for me, and fun on a warm summer day), and definitely the crab sliders. Spicy clam (in the shells) chowder with Italian sausage, blackened swordfish (reminded me of swordfish I had fresh of the boat in Montauk years ago), and lobster roll all great too. Can't wait to get back and work my way through the rest of the menu. We were the first table in, and filled up quickly. Good vibe, great staff.
