Description: Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten brings an authentic biergarten experience to Asbury Park, a tradition that Europeans have enjoyed for centuries - communal tables where friends and strangers mingle in a lively, friendly atmosphere, energized by a regular schedule of live music. The establishment features a 9,000 square foot outdoor rooftop Biergarten and 6,000 square foot indoor hall. We pour 31 premium draft beers and serve over 60 bottles, including American craft beers. The menu is classic biergarten fare with a focus on comfort foods from Austro-Hungaria, flavorful and perfectly executed by Executive Chef James Avery.

Really an experience. The tables are set up picnic style inside. They also have a rooftop service in season.
The food is often fried and fattening. Having said that the potato pancakes are amazing. The other food is pretty good too.
My grandchildren have much more tolerance for the noise level here.
Many choices of beer in this celebratory atmosphere.

My husband was born in Switzerland so finding any kind of European establishment is always great for us. We have been going to Asbury for years and never realized this Biergarten was there. We stopped in @ noon for a beer and a pretzel.. Pretzel was outstanding. Great variety of Belgium, German, Czech beers available. There was a Christmas bazaar going on up on the rooftop. Starts around Black Friday through Christmas. Actually found some "Milka" chocolate there. Would love to visit the rooftop again during the summer months. We then came back for dinner around 6. We ordered two different German dishes. Both we very good. I'm glad we found this place and would definitely return... Only odd this was they don't open until noon on a Saturday.... HA! I thought the Germans didn't care what time it was to start drinking...

Go here often, after spending over 3 years in Germany, I am very critical of places that call themselves Biergartens but this place is as close as you can get to authentic. ..great bier, food and entertainment. ..

We visited the Festhalle to check out the rooftop Christmas Market booths and after checking it all out stopped for a giant pretzel and cup of hot Gluehwein on the rooftop terrace. The pretzel was hot and delicious and came with really good mustard and also a cream cheese style dip - plenty big for 2! The hot cup of Gluehwein (hot spiced mulled wine) was perfect on a cool afternoon.

My wife MaryAnn and I along with two great friends Debbie & Tito have dined at Festhalle & Biergarten on several occasions and always have a great time! You must try the Bavarian Brezel to die for so light and crispy! We’ve also have tried many different dishes on the menu, including sauerbraten, Hungarian beef goulash & bratwurst. Just a few items we eat, of course washed down with Hofbrau Octoberfest, Spaten Octoberfest, Spaten Lager, DAB, or Schoffenhofer! All I can say is Geweldig and Proost!!!
They have music and you would swear you were in an authentic German beer hall. A must try for family and friends. Very congenial atmosphere, again Proost
