The service at the Llano Grande’s area is much better that the one at El Poblado Medellin. However meal was as bad as the previous experience.
Today, the food was terrible. To start with, the empanadas were fatty und no tasteless.
Meet was not better; in fact, worst. Too fatty despite being imported meat but bad cooked.
The salad I asked for, never arrived.
In conclusion, too expensive considering the bad food, bad prepared and bad service.

I visit Colombia in July each year and always stop at Las Brasas near the airport for steak upon my 2 p.m. arrival.

All was perfect for us.

The service is very accommodating with an attitude to please. And, they are very helpful and took me to their climatized wine room and showed me some of their newer wines then showed me their finer wines. I recognized two very good wines from Argentina and selected the Perdril which is a Cab., Malbec & Merlot blend. It was perfect with our steaks. Nice and rich yet with some boldness but not too much.

The wine list is extensive with wines from Argentina, Chile, Spain, France but wisely heavy on Argentine wines, Malbecs, Cabs and blends from low end to high end quality and price.

We always start with their grilled provoleta. Still very good and well prepared. I prefer the Sterling cut of beef as it is similar to a filet...........nice and large and guessing near 18 oz. which is plenty for a hearty appetite like mine. What is nice is the meat is served on a hot small grill almost rare. I slice the thick cut (no mariposa) and cook a little more to get my preferred pink.

If you think they are stiffing you on the baked potato just know the type of potato grown in Colombia is very small so suggest asking for two. Americans are spoiled with the large Idaho potatoes.

They have added a nice salad bar this year that is included with your meal. Improving and still my favorite restaurant for steaks in the Medellin area.

And, if you like a rustic atmosphere you will enjoy the very high ceiling with wood beams above. Brasas in llano Grande reminds me of my 25 years of work travel to Argentina and enjoying their restaurants both in B.A. and other cities.

The ambiance, the food, the service, great quality. Highly recommend for celebrations, business dinners and any occasion. Hidden jewel I might say, there are more famous and recommend meat restaurants in town, but this one has a lot to offer. BTW, easy parking inside.

The food was delicious, and the service was great and the view was excellent. The prices are a tad bit above average for other venues of greater value but none the less it is still a very good place to enjoy a great meal.
