My husband and I stayed at Laureles 1006 for 1 month in February 2018. We rented directly through Apartment International site after being so impressed by their bilingual service from a previous booking in El Poblado via Airbnb. We loved our time in El Poblado but wanted to experience living in an area that was less tailored to tourists, and more locals... and Laureles seems to have a good mix. The loft is located down a quiet residential street yet only a 2 minute walk from Carrera 70 - lined with local restaurants, bars, street vendors covering all price ranges - and we even found a few incredible vegetarian places - Saludpan on Circular 4 was our favourite for breakfast, lunch or dinner! We also loved being only a 6min walk from Estadio metro station, and one night even caught a football game :) There are always plenty of fresh fruit vendors and Exito supermarket down maybe a 5 minute walk away for basics, however if you looking for more variety would need to walk over to the bigger supermarkets on Transversal 39b - which is another incredible area lined with restaurants and bars however a bit more upscale. Also many cute independent shops along the way - Preludio Café has great coffee and desserts! The loft itself was very spacious and clean. My husband and I both work from home so the large dining room and swivel chairs was a perfect workspace and had constant fast internet connection. The upstairs became our after hours hangout when we stayed in. The only thing that wasn’t so great was that there is no hot water in the kitchen, however we have since been advised that hot water has now been installed in the kitchen - a testament to Apartment Internationals great service! Thanks guys, we hope to return to Colombia one day and will definitely book with you guys again!
