Good location. Charming old building, however the rooms need a lot of maintenance. The windows cannot be closed properly, so whatever noise comes from outside or the reception and courtyard will go straight into the room. There was a one centimetre gap under the door so remember to bring your earplugs. Electrical wiring is not done by a professional. I stayed only one night and the following two nights I opted for another hotel. Decent breakfast.

We went to Cartagena for a family vacation. The hotel is very well located, close to historic places, restaurants, shopping, etc. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are very small. The bathrooms need a lot of maintenance and updates. The room on the first floor gets a lot of noise from the people coming late at night and also in the morning when they are preparing for breakfast. Price is OK for this type of Hotel and also for the location. I will look into other alternatives to stay next time I go to Cartagena.

The pluses: Excellent location, right in the walled portion of Cartagena, within very easy walking distance to many bars and very nice restaurants. Walled area appeared to be very safe, even late into the night. Wifi was very strong, since the wifi router was directly outside my 2nd floor room.
Staff was helpful. Breakfast was simple (coffee, a juice, fruit & a sandwich or delicious arepa), but was sufficient for a good start to the day. Breakfast was served in a small courtyard.
Negs: The room was very small, especially the bathroom. There was nothing luxurious. This place was functional only and a price to match.

Room Tip: There was little street noise anywhere in the hotel, however i think the 1st floor room may be prone to noise due to being next to courtyard

Not a bad stay at all. So here's the skinny:

This small hotel has only 7 rooms of all similar sizes so heavy foot traffic running through here is rare. I stayed in room 203. Rooms are ample size and well decorated. Hot/cold water with plenty of water pressure in the shower AC worked very well and was often welcome. Mattress is too soft and lacks support, but I got used to it. In-room safe and wifi router was right outside my door, so worked well. Fridge did the job in keeping drinks nice and cold.

TV channels are super weak, very little to offer. Breakfast is sorely lacking - cereal, arepa huevo, bread/toast. Lots to be desired there.

The building itself is functional and well located. Exito, restaurants and all sights are within easy walking distance. The terrace is kinda sad really. The "hot tub" was pretty scary, with a huge ball of black flies flying right above it. We skipped the whole terrace the entire week we were there.

Service was adequate. Eber the primary front desk guy, lacked much energy but was always willing to aid us and was nice and helpful. As far as the tours they offer, the people they work with outside of the hotel for tours are a joke. I would suggest that you look elsewhere when booking excursions. But that's just me and doesn't reflect directly against the hotel.

All in all I would stay here here again and suggest it to anybody.

Room Tip: RM 203 was good, away from foot traffic

We went to Cartagena for a couple of days, the hotel is in the historic area of Cartagena, with many restaurants close by walking distance.
The rooms were clean and the staff was very kind. I'm vegan so breakfast was not that good, since most of the options included dairy, but still I would recommend it if you want to know the city and don't plan to stay all day in there. There's no pool or other attractions.
