Oh how I love this hotel and the staff. I stayed at the hotel for seven days and had nothing but the best experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I felt safe and at peace while traveling alone. I had no fear and was able to enjoy Cali and all that it had to offer. I will be back again Jan. See you soon Hotel El Penon. More

I stayed at this facility for about 10 days. There’s nothing but good things to say. I had one of the suites, although I was still able to hear the noises from the outside traffic, they were able to accommodate me to a not so exposed room, and it was just so easy to communicate with them. “Whatever the client wants” type of service. If I’m not mistaken it is locally owned so you can imagine the level of customer service they provide. The staff was amazing & they also have cars available with a personal driver which in my case was Diego. He speaks English also, which can make your the experience better. Made me feel extremely good and safe. (Cali it’s not bad at all) but since I was alone it just gave me that extra peace of mind. HIGHLY recommend!

Rooms are nice and offers essential amenities but the location of our room was at the corner of an intersection of two busy streets. Cars and motorcycles travel the route late into the night. Sounds as if the windows were open but they were not. Then early in the morning the garbage pickup trucks were emptying disposal canisters. We had noticed the loud street noise upon check-in and asked the front desk for a room at another location. The attendant said no rooms were available which we thought was strange because we did not notice any others staying at the hotel except for our group. Also, this attentant was not friendly at all. If we had an extended stay we would have moved to another hotel.

We had only two nights in Cali but enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast (included) is served in the Turk House restaurant downstairs (sometimes music too loud). The rooms spacious and, even though one of our nights was a Friday - salsa night out, reasonably quiet. The front desk crew was welcoming, if a bit terse. And you can walk to the 'bulevar' and old part of town in just a few blocks. Recommended.

A great place to stay. Terrific staff, attentive to your needs. Clean rooms, great value. Brerakfast at Turks downstairs every morning always gets my day off to the right start. What can I say; I highly recommend this hotel!

Nice hotel at a great location. Staff was very helpful. It helps a lot if you know some Spanish. I was there with my friends and there was a lot of little bars around where you could eat or drink something, but not a lot of turists. We were almost only ones on the streets.
