I stayed at this property earlier this month and it is a decent property with good service. The hotel send an English speaking representative with the driver to pick me up at the airport and she educated me on Weihai as we drove in. I was assigned a corner suite on the business floor 18 and it was a very nice well appointed suite. The room feels a bit modern and make make some uncomfortable since the bathroom and bedroom are separated by a glass wall.

The included buffet breakfast was a mix of Korean and Chinese plus fruits and breads. There is an egg station but the only thing they prepare is fried eggs, no omelets. While this is not a traditional US or European style breakfast you can find bits of both and as long as you are adventuresome with the local foods you'll have a good breakfast, Try the clams and then get some kimchi and mix them together, it was great. If you can't use chop sticks you'll need to ask for silverware.

English is a challenge here but there are enough staff who can speak a little that you'll get bye. Chinese and Korean speakers will have no issues.

I did not have time to check out the spa, pool, gym or in hotel KTV.

Stayed at the Center Hotel for two nights, excellent room, great view (the only thing lacking was a UK style electric socket). The bed was very comfortable and the service absolutely brilliant (I even left a pair of socks on the floor when I went to work and when I came back they had been hand washed and hung in the bathroom!). I ate at the restaurant on the 20th floor twice, both meals were probably the best I have had on any of my trips to China. The rate compared to what I was paying in Guangzhou was well worth the money (25% of the Guangzhou cost). Out of 10, I would give this hotel 11 :)

Stayed one night in June. Overall, a nice hotel, not very expensive. Room was Ok size, not big, not small. Bathroom has a glass wall that looks into the bed, but there is roll-up blind on the outside you can cover it up. Free internet. Overall satisfied with the room.

One convenience is the KTV on the 7th floor (i think). So the entertainment is right on your fingertip. The girls at the KTV wasn't too pretty, I have to say. Usually there are a lot of pretty girls (large selection), but this place the choices were limited. KTV facility was nice.

Breakfast was good, mostly of Chinese flare. About 45 min to Weihai airport. I would recommend this hotel.

We picked this hotel based on reviews on this site and also various Chinese travel sites, and I have to say the reviews are right on the money. I will have to say I am quite satisfied with this hotel and will probably stay here if I visit Weihai again. The pros of this hotel include:
- Great location with easy access to shops and restaurants
- Close to the ferry pier
- Good value with very decent size room
- Very friendly and attentive staff. As a matter of fact, I believe the service level of the staff is the strength of this hotel

Now, the cons:
- The downtown location makes this hotel very tough to get into sometimes. We have some relatives tried to pick us up and the security guards would not let their cars come into the parking lot because there were too many cars in it.
- There was some sort of karaoke place on the 7th floor that blasted music at night. However, I stayed at a high level room and so that did not affect me, but I just want to point that out.
- The temperature control in the room does not really work properly. It was either too hot or too chilly in the room.

Given that Weihai is not a large city like Qingdao and this is not an international chain hotel like the Intercontinental or Shangri-la, you cannot expect the hotel to be at that level. But I have to say for the money, it is a very good hotel to stay at.

The hotel is well equipped with every facility you could require. The Havana bar on top of the hotel offers European dinners but when I was there there were no other visitors. So after dinner I just went back to my room to spend the evening with my computer. The KTV on the floor seems very popular.
The hotel is just a few hundred meters from the boulevard of Weihai and as the name indicates right in the middle of Weihai. The rooms are of good quality and clean allthough I could find some mould in some corners of the shower. The shower is made out of glass and located between the bathroom and the room,
