Sorry i get time only now to review your restaurant altough I went there last month..

As mention in TripAdvisor Casanova an italian - Pizza - European restaurant
so expectation is there especially for a foreigner crowd... as I title this review 'definetely to improve'... here are my thoughts about

Arrive at the restaurant 12:19... restaurant was with just 9 other guest sitting....
restaurant seems quiet just a few tables, bright natural lighting since was a sunny day and make you feel warm and comfy.

I sit down and I receive the menu from one of your waiter,
I receive the bread basket (two slice of bread with a bottle of olive oil and Balsamic) expecting at least 2 varieties of bread maybe a grissini sticks...

I order as a starter for mushrooms with basil pesto (the taste of pesto was ok)
that's all because the mushrooms were slightly raw in the middle and if you are using portobello mushrooms could be a tricky to ensure its cook properly...

I order for "Spaghetti Crab" ...
when i ask the waiter if the crab its local or imported, he seems not understand 100% since he reply me "the crab its inside the pasta" ...
on top of that the sauce where over too much and crab did not strong enough
for a seafood type of pasta I am definetely, definetely not expecting parmesan cheese on top... really strange...I don't get it,,,

Second course I order for cod fish with mash potato and green peas puree
(despite i have been waiting 15 minutes at least should be nicely hot...the mash potato definetely cold)
feel really sad because the waiter 'Andy' if I am not mistaken was reccomend me the dish, so if you know that the cod its your 'SIGNATURE' should be perfect in all the aspects...

To finish my meal I order for a tiramisu (I asking without ice cream) the reason
because all your desserts listed are serving with ice cream....
However the tiramisu was average and portion definitely small

To compliment the entire meal I have order as well for a glass of Sauvignon Blanc ...
let's say......""hmmm I think the wine is nice too"".......

Bill comes out for a total of 437RMB...

At the end I would like to see this place more buzzing and more excited since its inside a beautiful shopping mall complex (HiSense) a nice view to the Marina.....
so all the ingredients are there to a perfect eatery experience but somehow it seems to be a lot of details are scruffy along the way...
I hope can be improved on my next visit ....

As italian business travelers, i can assure you that the only thing similar of Italian dishes is just the bread ( the basket of bread will be charged of course) .
We were two, and we start with bruschetta mista, i still laughing, just 4 small slice of bad bread, 2 with silly tomato and a lot of onion, and other twowith some strange melted olive and basil pesto.

Minestrone soup was nearly cold, few spoon and of course with dominance of onion and black pepper.
How know how to eat or cook know very well that pepper and onion if used more then the right means, something to hide or total absence of flavor.

About spaghetti al ragu, nothing better then a pre-cooked sauce Barilla.

In conclusion, laura pausini and good bread can not give the right to call italian restaurant even in far China.

I didn't expect this to be so nice, based upon the most recent review, but it was beautiful. It has a view of the boat docks and ocean, and the pizza was made in a pizza oven, and was really very good. The caprese salad was also good. The staff was wonderful. The cosmopolitans were the best! Very tasty, and shaken vigorously. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It is the best restaurant I have been to in Qingdao, and I've been to Qingdao twice nice for about 7 days total.

We went to this restaurant based on TA reviews. It was a mistake. These people are reading reviews and think they are experts on Western food. They are not. My wife ordered a fillet medium to medium rare. It came out raw. When we asked them to warm it up they acted like we did not know what we were talking about. They cauterized the top and the bottom of the steak to the point that it could not be cut with a knife while the center was still cold. Having cooked prime meets personally for the last 40 years my guess is the beef was frozen before it was cooked. The outside cooked while the inside remained raw. We asked if they had any sauces and were met with puzzlement. Like a wine sauce or a pepper sauce or a mushroom sauce? No chance there. I asked about the fish and was told it was all cooked well done. I asked about the chops on their menu and again I was told only well done and no sauces. I finally managed to get a piece of salmon medium. It was supposed to be grilled but it was poached. If I had to go to this restaurant again I would try a pizza. They might be able to make a good pizza. During the entire lunch we sat through (drank a bottle of wine) there were only 2 other tables and they ordered pizza.
The best steak in Qingdao is at Korona Grill House.

What a pleasant surprise finding this restaurant on Trip Advisor. Located in an upscale mall , this restaurant had delicious western food, fast & friendly service & a pretty view. We felt very welcome there as Americans.
