Hotel room was not clean before giving me the key.

There were dirts on the toilet, and those dirts were on the side that your butt sit. Besides that, the consumable products, such as shampoo and shower gel, were not renewed as well. You can literally see “hair” sticky on the soap. THAT WAS GROSS.

I can’t imagine this would happen in a five star hotel. Shame on Le Meridian.

The worst part was that after complaining to the front desk, no one came to me until I finish tying this review.

In summary, you are so stupid to stay in this hotel. PLEASE DON’T COME

The location was right next to a couple of large malls. One mall right next to the hotel had outdoor events going on the whole weekend. You can hear singing and the MC hyping up the crowd repeatedly. I could hardly work in my room because it was noisy. The room was too dark to work so I worked in the business center which closed at 9pm. No one helped with my luggage on my way out. I had 2 suitcases.

We feel really sorry about the noise and service. We will pre-arrange you with a quite room next time. Due to the covid-19 this year, our business center close time change to 9pm. We are sorry about the inconvenient and we are trying to get all facility back as before. Besides, we will get more staff to help guests for the service to make sure our guests have a nice stay.
Once again, thank you for providing feedback that will ultimately help improve our service and we hope you choose to stay with us again whenever your travels bring you back to Qingdao so that we can provide you with a premium service that not only meet, but exceed your expectations.

Not a 5 star standard. This hotel has nothing to do with the standards of other Le Meridien Hotels I have stayed with. Rooms need to be renovated! I cannot judge the Chinese breakfast buffet, but the Western breakfast buffet was a disaster (No cheese products, no varieties of bread, etc.)! I have booked a room with lounge access, but the lounge is a joke! The opening times are changing daily, earliest was 11:30am, closing at 9pm (lights were turned off even when guests are still sitting there! You only get some snacks, beer and wine between 5:30pm and 7:30pm! Definitely not worth the money! Executive lounge, hotel bar and all restaurants (except the one serving breakfast) were closed!

We had a very pleasant night here in July 2020, in spite of the Covid-19 situation. Overall, the hotel was excellent. It is starting to look a little retro (perhaps intentionally?) --- a DVD player in the room, for example, seemed to be a bit of a throwback. :)

The pool was lovely. The main restaurant was also fantastic. The room was beautiful -- the TV in the bathroom was a nice touch, but a pity it didn't work. :| Apart from that, it was an excellent room. :)

Because of Covid-19, the executive lounge was closed, but we had a reasonable Happy Hour in the main restaurant. We also had an excellent breakfast there.

Recommended.

Arrived 7:30pm and the bar was closed. Restaurant was closed. Room service option was fried rice. Air conditioning could not go lower than 24C. Bar fridge was not working. Overhead shower not working.
Le Meridien, are you a 1 star or 5 star hotel?
