A well preserved historical building and a well organized museum- the Museum of Wuchang Uprising of 1911 Revolution of China,

It is a beautiful building, where the former site of Hubei Military Government of Republic of China seated. On Oct. 10, 1911, revolutionaries in Hubei led the Wuchang Uprising. Hubei Military Government of Republic of China was established here, marking the beginning of the Revolution of 1911. It was the birth of Republic of China.

Free entrance, but visitor should show his/ her identification card or passport for registration.

For Chinese people, this is a must visit place. For foreign tourists, it depends on your interest.

Very interesting insight into a by-gone era. Ticket required for entry, but they are free. The building itself - a V shape, almost rusty spaceship is worth walking around the outside - as well as the inside. The park across the road is also worth a visit as is Yellow Crane Tower across the Cultural Park. A full day trip.

I was unaware of the importance of this building but many of the Chinese folks I was with all new the historical importance of this building. They were all very excited to see this and take pictures. If you are interested in the historical part it is definitelly worth a visit. If you are not, but have time, stop by while you visit the Yellow Crane Tower. If time is limited I would dedicate it to the Yellow Crane Tower instead.

A historically important place for China, it's well worth the visit along with the nearby museum if you're interested in modern chinese history.

I learned so much about Chinese history by visiting this park. I had never heard of the uprising until coming to the park with my group from AUM. It is very clean and well-maintained (if you don't count the smog).
