I was unaware of the importance of this building but many of the Chinese folks I was with all new the historical importance of this building. They were all very excited to see this and take pictures. If you are interested in the historical part it is definitelly worth a visit. If you are not, but have time, stop by while you visit the Yellow Crane Tower. If time is limited I would dedicate it to the Yellow Crane Tower instead.

A historically important place for China, it's well worth the visit along with the nearby museum if you're interested in modern chinese history.

I learned so much about Chinese history by visiting this park. I had never heard of the uprising until coming to the park with my group from AUM. It is very clean and well-maintained (if you don't count the smog).

This area includes a large park with the statue of the 3 martyrs, gardens resembling the flag of the uprising, a statue of Sun Yat-Sen, and the Museum. The area is well-maintained, includes historical documents, art work, and documentation about the Uprising, in both English and Chinese. There are several outstanding embroidery art works that are well-worth viewing. Look up as you are entering the museum for a lovely view of the Yellow Crane Tower.

If you like and understand modern Chinese history, try to spend about an hour here. Then walk to Yellow Crane Tower within minutes.
