The hotel is located in the Huaqing area which is very central and near to electronics markets. It also has a Metro Station 50m from the front door. Strangely though, it's part of an entertainment venue (like a private club) which is very Chinese and as a Westerner, I felt uninvited. I was turned away from 2 restaurants and the bar that I finally had dinner at, was smokey and the food was awful. The bed was comfy and the room was adequate, nothing special, but comfortable and clean. WiFi is a nightmare, it keeps dropping your VPN and is highly irritating. Many of the bigger Western chains don't have this problem. Wouldn't go back.

Room Tip: If you need solid WiFi, go to a Western chain.

It all depends on where in Shenzhen you need to go. But if the Pavilion is close to where you want to be: Go. We had a top-level room, which of course affected our experience. Great view. And we got the extension we needed the day we left.

Room Tip: The higher the better

This hotel is exactly at Huaqiangbei. Just across the street you will find many electronics stores and food to eat. The metro station is just next to the hotel and it is only 20 minutes away from Luohu. I always come to this hotel to stay on a trip. High recommended with friendly staff. For 200RMB they have shuttle bus to Hong Kong Airport. Cheap and fast.

Just stayed at the Pavilion Hotel for two nights while on business in Shenzhen. It is near Huaqiang North and there is a subway station two mins from the front lobby of the hotel. It is a rather old hotel and needs renovation but the staff is super friendly and well trained. If they just renovated it I would for sure come back as it is in a busy area of Shenzhen! Their room service was very quick and tasted great! Try the Oreo Cheesecake!!!!
