On our arrival I was lost looking at a big building with a very nice design my confusion becomes more when I entered the reception/lobby soo wide and nice looking. The rooms are nice and spacious. I stayed in area D where most of the rooms the windows are opaque. The major problem of this property is language barrier almost most of the staff understand Chinese language only hence communication is very difficult.

Stayed: June 2015

Local guide told us there were 1,500 rooms and the hotel is huge with an enormous lobby. It's divided into 4 quarters so do remember which life you took to your rooms. Good wifi in room and elsewhere.

Everything is grand and big in this hotel. It has over 1500 rooms. They have at least 3 restaurants, a big plaza for events, and a long reception table. The rooms are big, it has 2 big beds, and can even include a 3-seater sofa. Although there were no tubs, the shower space is huge.

Breakfast at the Grand Buffet is good as well. It has several serving stations enough to provide food for everyone. Food served a variety as well ranging from traditional local food such as noodles, soy milk and congee to western flavors like ham, sausages, and bacon, to salads, fruits, and drinks.

The concierge staffs are very helpful and friendly. Location is ok as it is near the airport and near food stalls and grocery. Metro, a superstore, sits beside the hotel.

Now the drawbacks: Room service was a bit slow since it took them over an hour to deliver 2 orders of clubhouse sandwiches and 1 order of noodles. Food was delicious though. Another thing was the centralize air conditioning. We requested to have the air conditioning opened, but it turned out they opened the heater since it was "winter-time" but it was not cold. They suggested to have the windows opened instead and they cannot do anything about the air conditioning since it was centralized. Also, they dislike people outside of their rooms talking.

The hotel is huge. It's rectangular in shape and has 1,525 rooms. You'll need to know the exact location of your room otherwise you'll have difficulty finding it the next time you return to the hotel. There are many corridors, it's like a maze! There are rooms facing outside so you'll get daylight especially in the morning to wake you up. There are also rooms facing the interior of the hotel so you'll only get artificial light all day. You may like to set the alarm clock to wake you up in the morning as there won't be any sunshine. You may like to reserve a room with natural sunlight. The rooms and bathrooms are big and clean, beds are comfortable. Do not expect quality service. There were hardly any greetings or smiles to make guests feel at home. The quality of buffet breakfast is average, serving both western and chinese food. The service at the restaurant serving breakfast was rather slow. It took a long time for the waiters/waitresses to clean the tables after the guests had left. In addition, the refilling of food placed on the main table/counter was slow. On several occasions, I went to get fruits but the plates were still empty. Whether you choose to stay in this hotel would depend on whether the location is convenient to you.

Room Tip: Rooms with windows facing outside will have natural sunlight.
