We stayed at the Tara Agknor for 3 nights. The hotel is very pretty and the interior smells very good, it has lots of computers and free internet service, a big buffet, a pretty pool, a gym of reasonable size (4 cardio machines plus weights), and very serviceable rooms. The biggest problem is the bugs. We saw flying roaches in the dining room, in the lobby. No matter how nice a place seems to be, seeing roaches in a hotel makes you not want to stay there or eat there. The food was also pretty bad- it didn't taste fresh and was very overpriced. The rooms are nice and spacious but very sparse and could use more accents. The other major issue was the shower- our water pressure was terrible and we often didn't have hot water. The hotel has some great things but the bugs and the shower would prevent me from recommending it.

Stayed at Tara for 3 nights in September.

The first night we discovered that the bed was infested with bugs of various kinds not to mention that linen was dirty.

We would not mind an insect or two but it was beyond acceptable and we had to change the room at midnight. Luckily a vacant room was available which somehow did not have the same sort of problem.

This hotel is at best average and would not recommend to anybody.

We visited Siem reap in early September. This hotel certainly exceeded our expectations. Early check-in, late check-out, very helpful tour organiser and provided an excellent and economically priced driver / tour guide for our time with them Moira (name may not be spelt correctly) who assisted us decide where we wanted to go was truly interested in what we wanted, not what the hotel usually provided. All the hotel staff were warm and welcoming. Advice about sights and dining were appreciated. Swimming pool great.

I stayed at this hotel from 5-8 Sep in their family room as I was travelling with my grown up kids. The room was spacious with 2 seperate bedrooms interconnected by a common room. The amenities were great . So was their breakfast and the complementary dinner one of the nights. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling with family as many of the better rated(trip advisor rating) hotels I checked do not have family rooms or interconnecting rooms. Even if they had it was much more expensive. The staff were very helpful and the tuk tuk stand just outside the hotel is a great convienience. Talking of transport, tuk tuk is a great way to travel around as it is cheap and something you dont normally get to see in developed world. My tuk tuk driver whom I hired for all 3 days was a decent and polite guy. He speaks fair bit of english too. Just in case if any of you want to hire him, his name is Meas and his number is [--]. He has a email too.(I was impressed) [--]

We stayed there for 3 nights as a part of our 10th anniversary trip.
First of all, the best thing they did for us was a lovely surprise by setting up the bed and the bathtub with full of roses and gave us a congratulation yummy cake. It was not like a honeymoon, we did not expected this at all so it was very nice and made our holiday extra special. Now, that's a real good service. All staff was friendly and very good customer service.

The room was clean, nice and new which provided very comfortable stay with very good value for money. Bonus is the great buffet breakfast!

The only negative thing was the shower. I mean the bathroom is so well maintained, very clean and everything, but the water pressure was not great and the water temperature kept on changing.... Well, I guess after all it is nothing compare to how good the whole experience was at this hotel anyway.

Thanks so much Tara Angkor hotel for making our trip so special and if we go back to cambodia again, we will be staying at this hotel again.
