My husband and I had been traveling Vietnam and Cambodia for 12 days and we were both jonesing for a decent bottle of wine and I needed a hamburger. We found this place based on their wine list. We sat at the bar figuring that's the easiest way to pass on dinner if it wasn't feeling right for us, and 2 hours later, we'd polished off a bottle of Baron Rothschild (priced within a couple of dollars of Vivino's rating), red chicken curry (the best we'd had in Cambodia) and my hamburger. Then they surprised us with a personalized dessert for our anniversary, which I barely remember mentioning in our conversation with Koy, our charming waiter.
Bottom line is, even if you're just looking for some good wine selections, GWC is a really good choice. But if you're also looking for a good meal and to spend time with some of the nicest people Siem Reap has to offer, sit at the bar.
