Fantastic hotel in a great location. We were greeted at check in with cold water bottles and damp cool wash clothes. The hotel seems modern but has a lot of traditional looking Cambodian décor. They have a rooftop pool with a great bar – you can also order food from the restaurant to your poolside lounge chair. We ate at the ground floor restaurant several times and loved it. The food is tasty and really reasonably priced. They have a Western menu you but we only ate local dishes, curry, noodle soup, Khmer dishes… Awesome breakfast buffet. The staff are so polite its amazing. Seriously some of the kindest staff of any hotel I’ve been to in my life. The location is great right on the river and walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. The hotel rooms have modern features and nice clean bathrooms but also have wood carvings and furnishings unique to a Cambodian hotel.

Room Tip: Elevators take a long time, we used the stairs a lot since its faster

We stayed in this hotel for four nights and had two separate rooms both with Balconies. One that looked onto the road with all day sun which was lovely and one that looked over the roof of an adjoining business that didn't get any sunlight and was rather noisy at night with the constant hum of three aircon units on our balcony. The hotel staff were wonderful and very helpful, the rooms and amenities available were perfect for what we were wanting. Location wise, this had everything going for it and the rooftop pool was a welcomed relief after walking the markets each day. The two nights that we had dinner at the in house restaurant were wonderful, but bear in mind this hotel has a lot of young staff that are in training so don't expect 5 star in a 3 star environment. Their communication skills were fine and their grasp of the English language was far better than my Cambodian. I would go back to this hotel again as we spent some time in town checking out various other places and nothing compared to the location or facilities that this hotel had to offer.

Room Tip: get a balcony that looks onto the street, the view is worth taking in.

Our stay at this hotel for a couple of nights made our vacation in Siem Reap absolutely a memorable one. The location of this property is excellent as it is in close proximity to the major hotspots in the city including the famous pub street. The hotel looks good from the outside and has a nicely decorated portico.

Now coming to our room, it was big and super cozy with a comfortable bed. All the necessary amenities including coffee maker, mini fridge and safe were present in the room. The bathroom was spacious and spick and span with adequate supply of basic toiletries. The balcony is also praiseworthy, sporting intricate Khmer architecture with a wonderful view. The staffs were courteous, very helpful and always bore a smile on their faces.

The restaurant was spacious and tastefully done. The buffet breakfast had a good spread and was delectable. The view from the terrace was one of the best we've ever had with a spectacular view of the city surrounded by beautiful Cambodian houses (featuring red clay tiled roof) and lush greenery. Last but not the least, the roof-top swimming pool is the real star of this hotel. It is accompanied by a mini bar and lovely cabanas to laze around with your favorite drink after a long, tiring day of temple running.

Siem Reap is a magical place and City River is a jewel in its crown. This hotel is highly
recommended for families and couples looking for a hassle free stay with complete peace of mind in this mystical city of Angkor. Or-Kun City River !!

On first sight this is a nice clean hotel but from another era. The restaurant (breakfast) was typically buffet style but the cooked food (eggs etc) were prepared hours before. Some of the staff struggled with English and french so communication was at times difficult. While this may be put down to (maybe) not quite in full season. What is not acceptable are the BED BUGS. The front desk claimed they were not aware of the problem but we were not the only guests to bring this to their attention. Not a place I would stay again

Room Tip: If you like bedbugs any room is good

The location of the hotel is around 10 minutes walk to Old Market, Pub Street and Night Markets. It is also less than half an hour drive to the famous Angkor Wat. The place is ideal for a good night rest since it is away from the busy area.

The rooms were pretty decent. Simple but clean. Basic toiletries were provided. Wifi was free but has poor connection. The hot water in the shower was intermittent. They said it was because many people were using it at the same time. We had 2 rooms and they were connecting rooms. The sound proof between the rooms was bad even when the door was always closed.

Complimentary breakfast was ok. They have bread, fruits, rice, noodles, soup, cereals, juices, etc.
