Good service, discounts on spa services. This is an older hotel that needs updating. Breakfast included ( mediocre buffet) , lounge is in the lobby which is a little strange...better just to get out to a club. Comfortable bed and quality linen. Air conditioner makes a lot,of noise. Too many people smoke in their hotel rooms(which is not allowed, but they still smoke! ) . Clean and quiet . Good mosquito control around the grounds but don't hang around when they are smogging the grounds...who knows what pesticide is being used .Nice big pool and good poolside service.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony towards the pool.

We stayed in the Prince D'Angkor Hotel in January 2018. My wife and I together with a widowed friend. We often holiday together and this year our trip to Vietnam and Cambodia was to be a particularly exciting tour. It is our usual practice, having done the daytime adventures, to have a good meal and then settle down for a few games of cards.

Unfortunately this hotel does not cater for such sublime activities. Firstly they don't have anywhere quiet to play cards. In the main lobby each evening there was a musical group, one man and one woman, who blasted out their singing. The man was not bad as a singer but the woman was nothing short of dreadful, not in time with the music and completely out of tune. In consequence the entire entrance lobby area was usually empty, ie., very few could put up with that noise. My complaint had no effect.

Central location
Very nice public areas including bar, pool and foyer areas.
Helpful staff who speak good English.
Live music in evening for happy hour but drinks are not cheap.
Rooms very clean, good range toiletries but furniture in need of updating as quite ' knocked around'!
Bed- lovely pillows but very hard mattress.
Dont even bother with restaurant. Food is awful and expensive..no wonder noone there in evening breakfast inclusive with tariff ..thats why restaurant was full in mornings! Unfortunately there was no variation each day no matter your tastes and minimal choices for Westerners..and even that was of very poor quality.
Definitely not a 5 star by Western standards!
But having said that location does allow you to walk to markets and restaurants and save need for tuk tuk or taxi every time you wish to go to town.
