If you are looking for old hotel with lack of services you choose the right place.
Well, our disappointment start before check in. We arrived in the airport and there was no driver holding sign board with our name. Luckily we noted there was guy wearing hotel uniform and we asked why no one pick us up as Hotel state that we are entitle round trip airport service. The 2nd case, we so impressed with breakfast box that hotel provided, i don't need to explain. You may check the photo i've uploaded.
Another case, We went out for full day tour and came back at 4pm, and our room still messy. Then i asked reception and they replied that they will do it now. Finally the HK came and offered to do make up room. I ask to do it at 6pm since we wanted to prepare going out and they are agree. Then we went out at 5.30pm and came back at 21.30. And the room still messy, no make up room, no towel no nothing. Maybe our expectation is to high as this hotel stated as 5star Hotel. Definitely unfriendly front desk, no apologize and driver need to be train more about hospitality. Bell boy and HK were friendly. Well apart those negative points, here there are the good points. This property has good pool with salt water, wide room and strategic location.

The staff are polite and very helpful, we were allowed to check in 45 minutes early and check out later too, suited our flight times to Hk. The hotel is in a great location, markets and restaurants are within walking distance, the temples are closeby too, breakfast was not exceptional but reasonable with Asian and Western choices, there is quite good live entertainment at night in the lobby and the hotel is clean. Have a nice enclosed swimming pool area. One disavantage is that one wing only has stair and not elevator access which may be challenging for the elderly. Generally clean with good restrooms.

The hotel on first appearance is somewhat tired. It used to be very grand I'm sure. Rooms are all fairly basic but the on the positive side they are very clean.

The facilities are excellent, swimming pool and especially the gym. Breakfast wasn't bad at all.

One of the best advantages of this hotel for its price is its location. So close to all the major attractions.

Furthermore, just outside the hotel there are several places that do Laundry. 1 kg for $2 is the standard price.

Free pick up and drop off at airport.

Just be warned though, when visiting Siem Reap, be prepared to be hounded by the tuk tuk drivers every five yards. They don't seem to understand that people have legs and like to walk.

The Prince D'Angkor is great value for money. Be silly not to book here.

The reception at this hotel is one huge room with lots of old style woodwork which is in keeping with the Angkor Wat location. The bedrooms are a generous size and are well equipped, as is the modern bathroom.
The staff at the hotel are friendly and speak good English. The prices in the hotel are more western than local Cambodian and it is worth taking a $2 tuk tuk ride into town to get an excellent dinner at one of the many good quality restaurants.
The town is nearby and a lively place in the evening although a bit shabby and disappointing in the daylight. The pool is a good size and warm, altogether a hotel worth staying at.
