Our family of 4 travelled in Cambodia for almost 3 weeks in February and March. We booked our trip with See Asia Differently and a they put a great deal of effort into planning. We were little concerned at the beginning as our children are only 4 and 6 years of age but See Asia Differently knew exactly what to include to make the trip a perfect balance for both us adults and the kids. We spend almost a week in Siem Reap, there is plenty of activities in Siem Reap and it was perfect for us to get used to Asia as this was our first trip to this continent. In Siem Reap we of course saw the temples which were absolutely amazing. Not only the famous temples such as Angkor Wat but also some different ones, less touristy and more adventurous for our boys to explore. We did some shopping at the local markets, we also did a pottery class for the children which they loved and a cooking class for us adults. We loved going for an early show to see the Cambodian Circus and of course the quad biking. After Siem Reap we travelled to Kratie to see the dolphins and then up north to visit elephant sanctuary. I think my sons will be talking about this part for years to come. It was superb, ethically done yet very educational and you could see that the elephants were really well looked after. It was very special to spend a day amongst there lovely animals. After the north we went south to enjoy the beaches which were lovely. Overall the trip was simply perfectly planned with the right amount of activities and relaxation. I would also like to give praise to our driver Raya. He was always on time, always caring and attentive, helping with the boys and accommodating all our small requests, answering our questions and at the end it was rather sad to be saying goodbye to our new friend. Thank you for an unforgeable trip.

We organized our private Cambodia tour with Kevin. He was great. Easy to work with, easy to communicate with. He gave lots of good advice when we were trying to come up with our itinerary. The hotel choices were all great. Our driver, Ra, was the BEST! Which is important since we spent several full days in a van with him as we made our way around the country. He was friendly, fun and smart. He was able to answer all of our random questions about things we saw along the way. I believe you get a good deal for your money with See Asia Differently. Once we saw how much ticket prices were for each attraction, temple or park we went to, and it was all included in our price, we started to realize that it was even a better deal than we originally thought. And in underdeveloped countries like Cambodia, it is worth every penny to have someone looking after us, picking us up, giving us advice and guiding us along the trip. Ra’s air conditioned van was comfortable and clean and we could tell he takes care of his stuff. We totally enjoyed our Cambodian adventure!!! We spent one day in Phnom
Penh just to see the palace and killing fields. Recommend doing that first because it really is shocking and depressing. I wouldn’t want to end our trip on that note. Then we spent 2 nights in Sen Monoram to see the elephants. We had a full day in the jungle, walking to the river, feeding the elephants and then swimming with them and bathing them. With local lunch cooked for us there on the river. We spent one night in Kratie on our way to Siem Reap. We did a dolphin kayaking tour which included 6 miles of kayaking! These adventures are not for the weak! Then we spent 4 nights in Siem Reap. The highlight being a full day of touring Angkor Wat. Amazing. Then a day jeep tour to the sacred mountain. And finally ended our trip with a day off in Siem Reap for just wandering around the markets and finding souvenirs and enjoying the pool.

I started contacting tour companies for a last-minute family X-mas holiday in Cambodia in late October/early November, trying to test the waters. Many companies responded with the usual (take your pick) "too late, we're full, we don't do custom tours...", or the best ones were: "pay us thousands of dollars and we'll plan a custom trip for you!". As an important bit of information, all these tour companies were in Europe or North America. And then I heard from Peter Jones, head of See Asia Differently, and he said three magic things: we are local to Cambodia, because of that we know things in detail that the western companies don't or can't know, and we will work with you to plan the holiday you want. He converted all the "full, late, can't, don't" responses I'd received previously to a simple yes. But, since he knows his trade, he's not delusional. He was honest in telling me: we need to do this quickly, otherwise you will run out of time, this time for real. In the space of a week he was not only able to plan an amazing trip hitting all the things we wanted, he was able to read my mind. By just telling him the wants and don'ts he planned and booked activities, sights, transportation and lodging for two weeks. I only had to tell him when we were arriving and leaving. He made a couple of suggestions, and pushed back on a couple of things we wanted to do, i.e. this site is too far away, highway is in bad shape, will take out too much time from your holiday. Once on the ground, Ra, Peter's driver/tour guide/problem solver was on the case. Incredibly funny, great with the kids, extremely helpful, he drove us up and down Cambodia safely. At one point some of us got a stomach bug and Ra jumped into action and dealt with all the externalities in the course of an hour so that we just had to worry about walking to the car and to the hotel room. To anyone who has read this far: I cannot recommend these guys any more, and I look forward to working with them in other countries.

We had the most wonderful holiday in January arranged by See Asia Differently, who were superb.

Having talked to us first to understand the type of people we are, what we wanted to do and see, the type of hotel we wanted to stay in Peter and his team could not have arranged a better holiday - and I would not have changed a thing.

The guides were lovely and adaptable to our requirements either adding or excluding locations on the day. The cars were clean (and cool) and drivers always there when expected.

I would definitely use See Asia Differently again.

Using See Asia Differently for our trip to Cambodia was the best decision we could have made for our family. My retired parents had never been to Asia before, and I was looking for something that would be a good fit for them, as well as not too touristy for myself, an avid traveler. We couldn't have been any happier with See Asia Differently from beginning to end. Eva and Peter helped us make the best choices in regards to seeing the temples of Angkor, as well as getting an overall cultural Cambodian tour. We spent a day and a half at the temples of Angkor, went to Phare, the Cambodian circus, and visited outlying villages on Tonle Sap lake, with a stop at a cooperative of artisans. Every single moment of every single day was perfect, didn't feel rushed, and the choices made for us in regards to lodging and recommendations for non-profit dining were wonderful. Ra, our incredibly careful driver, was hysterically funny and knowledgeable. We got overviews of what's happened in Cambodia since the war, and felt comfortable asking personal questions about the lives of all of the diverse people that we were visiting. Mr. Chhin was our tour guide for the temples, as well as our translator while we visited with monks, and floated around the stilt villages of Tonle Sap. We inquired about visiting the Land Mine museum and mentioned a few other interests in passing, and See Asia Differently researched possible add-ons for us, that I wish we were able to do- next time, for sure! Mr. Chhin, our private tour guide, moved us through our day, teaching us about the geography, culture, and history of Cambodia, all while somehow sneaking around the most crowded spots, without missing a single site. Our only regret was that we didn't spend more time in Cambodia. When we return to Asia, we will research no further than See Asia Differently. Their professionalism, planning, guides, knowledge, and flexibility and price point made our trip absolutely perfect.
