We had high expectations prior to visiting and were not disappointed.
It is difficult to appreciate the sheer size of it. The fact that it was built in the middle of a jungle in the late 12th century is incredible, to me it is on a par with the pyramids in that respect.
The carvings are fantastic and it is truly an architectural masterpiece. Make sure you have plenty of time when visiting and just lose yourself
