Most people only stay at this hotel for 2/3 days in order to visit Angkor Wat and the other temples around Siem Reap. My wife and I stayed for 7 nights as this visit came at the end of a long tour of South East Asia and we had decided we wanted a few days to relax after visiting the sites of Siem Reap. We couldn't have chosen a more perfect venue. The hotel is an oasis of peace and tranquility in an amazing setting and yet is in the city centre. Everything about the hotel and grounds are perfect. The staff were charming and helpful and without exception all eager to please and be friendly. In particular we would mention Elisabeth, Oscar, Michael and The General Manager Thomas who all went out of their way to be helpful. The food was consistently exceptional, we were full board and every meal was a delight. Our room was immaculate, with a lovely view over the pool. The grounds were also kept beautifully as was the Spa which was a perfect place to relax after a long, hot tour. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and wouldn't stay anywhere else if we ever return to Siem Reap.

Room Tip: Pool view, upper floor are quieter and better views over the gardens

My husband and I stayed on a Luxury Escape deal. Room was quiet and the pool the perfect respite from the heat( and unlike most resorts there was much shade for pales like me who burn). Staff were local and very happy-go-lucky to chat. Close to temples. Hope to go again but out of our price range without a deal.

My husband and I booked into the Belmond as part of a Luxury Escapes package. It was our first visit to both Cambodia and Siem Reap. From the moment we were met at the airport by Vandy to the moment we were dropped off again five days later we received the most delightful service and attention. The location is great as within walking distance to the town and markets, and the river as well. Tuk tuks always waiting outside if needed. Cool towels presented when we arrive back from our adventures, personalized tours of the temples, drinks twice a week to meet the manager and other guests, water and towels by the pool and the occasional treat with mango sorbet and lime and soda, it was all wonderful. We loved the pre dinner cocktails that were included in our package, and dining outside at Ember we had great service and tasty food. Our only recommendation for improvement was the buffet dinner at Circle, we felt it was not quite at the standard of the rest of our experiences. The staff are amazing, many have been there for years which shows they treat staff well. We enjoyed talking with Vang, Phea, Mary Ann and the others.

This is a first class hotel, with large and renewed rooms. The location is perfect and service very attentive. Concierge is very efficient. The breakfast is complete and the quality of the restaurant is good. My only remark is that the bar should be air conditioned, not only for the heat, but also due to the mosquitoes. Very good experience, indeed!

We absolutely loved our stay at this amazing hotel in a fabulous part of Siem Reap. We easily walked to most places, or took a Tuk Tuk if feeling like not walking. The hotel looks after your every need, the bar, restaurants and spa were fabulous. Highly recommend this oasis..
