My husband and I stayed at the Sofitel for 5 days during our first visit to Angkor Wat. We were very happy with the great hospitality and thoughtfulness of Camille and her relations team. The hotel location is excellent, the serenity of the environment makes us feel calm and peaceful. I think we have made a great choice and would recommend the hotel for all occasions.

My friend and I booked this resort through Luxury Escapes. It is a large, green property beautifully landscaped with water bodies, deep colonial verandas and very comfortable rooms. The staff was very friendly and eager to help at all times. It has a lovely swimming pool with a shallow side for children, a tea lounge and bar and sumptuous breakfast spreads in a large dining hall .

Room Tip: I doubt that there are any rooms with drawbacks. The building is only three stories high, and you may choose a ground floor if you wish.

Our family holiday was filled with moments and experiences we will forever cherish.
The hotel amenities are first class--the rooms are clean comfortable and spacious--the restaurants offer delicious fresh food at good value--the grounds and pool are beautiful and invoke a sense of peace and calm.
However what you will never forget is how the staff made you feel.
From the bell boy to the manager--nothing is too much trouble and treat you like you are the most important person in the universe--a special thanks to Pasquale and Chantelle. If you are to visit Angkor Wat do yourself a favour and ask for Mr SOTHOUN OK--his English is impeccable and makes the tour easy, fun and interesting.
For an unforgettable experience pls visit this hotel and it's people. We can't wait to return.Thank you again.

A wonderful 5-star resort with superb rooms, breakfast buffet, swimming pool and bars. The grounds are very attractive and well maintained.

It is a truly relaxing oasis from the outside world. A good place to use as home-base when visiting Angkor Wat and other local sites.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the back town road.

A lovely warm feeling pervades not only from the decor which is full of fresh orchids and lotus, but from the seemingly sincere staff from the manager Sam onwards to Vineat and everyone else who was there to make one feel at home. There is a hint of lemongrass everywhere and live traditional music performers adorn the tasteful lobby. The laundry and shoes came back perfect. The fishing in the lake in front of the hotel is outstanding with snake head fish and silver bream which the restaurant (Citadel) will cook for you, in different styles, free of charge! The bicycle ride was hair-raising but fun and yes there are helmets- do ask for them! Just as a demo of the level of service and thoughtfulness, a water bottle was fixed to the bike for our use in readiness and bottles of water were provided for the keen anglers as well! A gentle and unforgettable moment was learning to fold out lotus buds with Channy (?) by the lake pavilion. It was sad to leave and tears welled up when the staff lined up to say good bye as the minibus pulled away.

Room Tip: Go for the suites if you can afford it as perks come with them.
