The Grand Bayon Hotel is within 10 minutes walk of the centre of Siem Reap with its busy markets, bars and restaurants. The hotel is relatively new and fairly small, and consequently in very clean and in good condition. The reception staff were friendly and helpful; the restaurant was small and provided a simple but adequate breakfast, though with limited choice of fruit, sludgy coffee and watery juices, and other food as required; there was also a small well maintained swimming pool, though sun beds were in very short supply, there only being 3 when we were there. The rooms were really nice; modern and simple, with plenty’s of power outlets for charging gadgets, tea making facilities and plenty of hot water for the shower, which was over the bath, though the WiFi was almost non-existent at busy times.
I have no hesitation to recommend this hotel.
