One of our absolute favorite meals in Siem Reap and the very best service. The mission of this restaurant is to teach and prepare the next generation of local Hospitality leaders and is taken very seriously. The service and food preparation, presentation, and service were on par with some of the nicest restaurants we have visited in the US and Europe (at a fraction of the price). Highly recommended. Reservations recommended.

We found Spoons after attending a shadow puppet performance at Bambu, across the road. It was lucky that it was a little past the evening rush time as apparently people without bookings had earlier been turned away.
Spoons is a training restaurant for disadvantaged young people. It seeks to provide them with good hospitality training, but also English speaking and wider life skills. It is a nice open setting in a building made of bamboo and recycled materials, you have got to love the holistic approach.
The staff were attentive, the food was delicious. Dinner and drinks for 3 adults, including a tip cost US $40. Could not fault the experience.

Went in here as the restaurant we planned on visiting was closed - it turns out I’m delighted about that because the food here was exceptional and believe me I’m very hard to please.....We were drawn in by the boards outside saying this was a training restaurant for underprivileged young people so in we went with no idea of how fabulous it would be. The space inside is beautiful and tastefully done - the service was attentive and efficient.
Every single dish we ordered tasted so fresh and was an absolute joy to behold-beyond delicious to eat.
We were served iced water and amuse bouche before our meal which was a very nice touch.
My daughter ordered a passion fruit and mint soda which was the most beautiful drink I’ve ever seen decorated with an orchid.
We had 3 courses and I had a coffee - the whole bill was just $34 so Fine dining at pizza place prices!!
Please seek out this absolute diamond of a restaurant - you will not be disappointed.

Found this restaurant recommended on trip advisor so got a tuk tuk there on our last night in Siem Reap. So glad we did. What a great restaurant. It’s a project to help unemployed disadvantaged young people. The management have done a great job, the staff were all very friendly professional and attentive. The whole place is made from bamboo and such a nice building. We hadn’t a reservation but they gave us seats at the bar. The food was brilliant. A bit more expensive than other options in town maybe but hey you get what you pay for and this was definitely worth the extra.
