The service at the hotel is everything you would expect from its Trip Advisor status, right from booking onwards (which we did directly with the hotel) and the advantage of being fairly small was that we got to know many of the staff who were all really friendly and helpful.

The food is superb if you like local cuisine, and we gave up eating elsewhere and had all our meals at the hotel. Food better than Angkor Palm.

For the independent traveller, the inclusive airport transfers were very useful, but the crowning glory must be the personal tuk-tuk driver who is available form dawn til 10-00 to take you around the temples, to town, to the lake, or just about anywhere. For longer day trips the hotel will organise a taxi.

However, the hotel is a fair way from town (although you may consider that an advantage) but with our tuk-tuk driver on hand it was never a problem. More sigificantly though, is that this is not, and in fairness doesn't claim to be, a 5 star hotel, so perhaps not as swanky as you might expect from most reviews. Nevertheless it is still really nice and we would definitley stay here again if we return. Considering the price of other hotels in the area, we would also say that the hotel is good value

We just returned from Cambodia having spent 8 days at this hotel in Siem Reap.
Sebastien Ung is a super manager & he has developed a fantastic team to run the hotel.
The service & overall experience was exceptional.
Moreover a personal tuk-tuk is provided per room for your entire stay at the hotel & we found this to be very useful visiting the various sites that are in the Angkor region
This hotel is almost always fully occupied with only 18 rooms--so one would have to book sometime in advance--you would not regret it

We really appreciated this hotel.

As explained in my review about the Siddharta hotel, we arrived a day ahead of schedule and couldn't get into here straight away. The hotel staff efficiently helped coordinate the transfer of our luggage and organised bus tickets for us to Phnom Penh. The grounds are very beautiful and the breakfast location open area looking out towards the garden and water feature.

The beds were incredibly comfortable and included a mosquito net. The balcony overlooking the pool was very pleasant. The bathroom is quite large and includes a large bath and shower (separate). I did manage to flood the entire bathroom however, and think that there is a slight design flaw in the drain system.

We really enjoyed the breakfast and loved that you could have it at whatever time in the day that you desired. This was particularly useful in Siem Reap, as many people eagerly arrive at Sun Set and head back late morning/early afternoon.

However, despite the excellent service and assistance with the move, there was one action by the staff that seriously puzzled us. We were a bit perplexed by one staff member who we requested ring our hotel in Phnom Penh to organise a transfer from the bus, who decided that because of the price that they would not book it for us and we would take a Tuk Tuk instead. We wanted a car for peace of mind and for assisting the transportation of our luggage. They never consulted us as to what we wanted and therefore, we later rang the hotel to organise it ourselves.

Nevertheless, this was a very minor complaint and did nothing to hinder our love for Siem Reap. As per the review on the Siddharta, we didn't think we saw $25 worth of difference in the hotels, although in certain aspects this hotel was plusher.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights at the start of our trip to South East Asia and loved it. The staff were amazing; the food and drinks delicious. It is a small hotel but has a large, beautifully landscaped pool and tuk tuk drivers on hand to get you to the city centre and main sites within minutes. All round an excellent hotel and can't be faulted.
