We discovered the Common Man tonight and thoroughly enjoyed the service and the dining experience.

The menu included a number of touches that made the meal interesting and uncommon. The complimentary bread included two varieties of bread/cake.

The complimentary white chocolate ahead of dessert was traditional C Man as well.

We enjoyed steak k-bob and crab cakes for main and opted for ice cream and white chocolate creme brûlée for dessert. There were enough touches in the cocktail list and meal list to make us want to visit again soon. Great job.

Our hotel recommended the Common Man. I had a stuffed chicken breast and my husband had some kind of beef. Both were real good.

We stopped in Ashland after two weeks in Nova Scotia. Our Hostess at the B&B recommended The Common Man so we tried it. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the menu offered many good choices. Although the B&B recommended "Almost Escargot" (using mushroom caps instead of snails) we ordered the real thing...delicious! After 2 weeks of seafood we were in the mood for some comfort food, so both ordered their Pot roast, which was excellent! Our server Dean was friendly, helpful, and prompt. We plan to go through Ashland again and will definitely stop here to eat. Can't review the desserts as we had no room. The coffee was good.

We both had the "Nantucket Pie". It comprised of seafood in a buttery sauce. At $24 each, it was a bit pricey but very good. The old barn atmosphere was very relaxing. The service was good also. Its a good thing they had complementary cheese , crackers, and bread with the meal, or I would have left hungary.
