Off the main road between and behind buildings, I was looking for a place for a quick lunch before in the road and get back to the airport in Detroit.
As a beer connoisseur and former resident (River Rat class of 82), I wanted to see how my hometown was doing in the craft beer market.
Thought I would just get a quick sandwich and try a sample of their beers but found this to be one of the best places for lunch in brews in Ann Arbor.
It was tough choice between the brewmaster special sandwich and smoked brisket sandwich, but the barman suggested there was no choice to be made: brisket all the way.
One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Brisket is cooked perfectly, and the cheese does not overwhelm the flavor. Baguette is clearly fresh baked and of the highest quality—flaky outside with just enough crisp and soft inside. The au jus was AMAZING!
Did a flight of au sable, around the corner, tundra king, and son of a king. All were excellent examples of their breeds and include the only ipl’s ive ever thought lived up to expectations.
I ate on the patio, which has no real view but is a nice way to get some sun or shade as you prefer. This is a taproom first, and food place second, but if you are in the mood for great beer, the food choices do not disappoint and the beer is fantastic.
Nice to see A2 is so well represented on the craft beer scene!
