A hole in the wall, Broadway Cafe may not be much to look at but the food is so good! I never got around to eating the cheesesteaks as I was so addicted to the sweet and sour chicken (really good sauce- not the gelatinous red stuff at chinese restaurants) and bi bim bap. About a 10 minute walk from the UM med campus, it was an easy lunch or dinner without the crowds of state street (it is a big favorite of the construction crews near campus). The place is run by a really nice old Korean couple- she does the cooking and he runs the front. Nice service and delicious food! Families are definitely welcome but beware that it is a very limited menu.
