Description: When restaurateur Sava Farah acquired Ann Arbor’s 2nd oldest building, she immediately fell in love with the history, the patina, the personality, but perhaps most significantly, with–a table. She gathered her friends around that table, in the cavern-like basement of this building, and was immediately transported to another place. Old World, wine and cheese, music and conversation, candlelight… tapas. That same table now sits in the middle of Aventura restaurant, a continuing symbol of Sava and her team’s coming together over the love of authentic Spanish cuisine and culture; tapas, paella, cocas, vino, gin tonics. We invite you to eat, drink, laugh and linger here; to enjoy the company of those you love as well as those you don’t yet know. Aventura is a love affair… a Cupid's arrow from us to you.

It is Resturant week in Ann Arbor so this evening was particularly crowded. There was a waiting line and it was a full house when we got there at 7pm. The setting is not for introverts, there are quieter nooks to sit in but this is not the place for a quite intimate meal, its a party and people are talking loud, the atmosphere is busy and full of energy. The waitstaff are attentive, friendly and very busy. In the midst of the talk and the crowds they whiz around with little plates piled up on their arms making sure the customers are taken care of. There are also seats at the bar and seats out front and behind the restaurant in a little courtyard kind of setting. Parking is close by on the street or the fourth and Washington garage. Good amount of the menu is many of the Tapas and medium plates they have, Paella in many forms and the drinks menu. Although Resturant week has a special menu, we ordered off the regular menu. The food was very good and well presented. The restaurant is definitely on the pricey side and those little plates and drinks add up very fast. Small plates run about 10 bucks a piece, Medium plates 15 -20 and Paella about $40.

Dinner and drinks with friends. Lovely place to eat outside! Wonderful service and great food. This time we had the sea bass and lamb. The sea bass was an A and the lamb was a bit chewy.

Family event, 5 diners. Very loud place, difficult to have a conversation.
Service was poor, slow. Some items that were ordered did not arrive.
Some food items were decent (octopus) but paella was overdone, dry, uninspiring.
Sangria is great, but other drinks not professionally made (untrained bar tenders).
Items not ordered were added to the bill, so make sure you check the bill.

Took my daughter and her friends here for dinner. The sangria is delicious. We had quite a few small plates and especially liked the octopus and cauliflower. Then we shared two paella’s- vegan and seafood! The service was good and the atmosphere fun! Definitely will return!

I ordered the manchego croquetas and they were great. Had a bit of membrillo under and it was super good. The cauliflower was great too and the octopus tapa is also very good. They have some nice options of wine by the glass. I sat on the bar area, but there are some seating areas. The space is huge.
The bartender was very attentive. Good service.
The dinner would have been perfect, but there was a large group celebrating and one girl was very drunk and loud. Really drunk. The rest of the customers were having a great time and enjoying the food.
