Classy. Comfortable. Clean. English Speaking staff. No hot water issues (which is an issue everywhere in Bolivia). Beautiful Gardens. Good location. Safe. Well priced. Mention trip advisor and get 20% off.

This Hotel is just breathtaking! It is located in a colinial building and so does the inner architecture and the design of every room. Inside there is courtyyard with plenty plants, trees and flowers. Everywhere you can see the love of the owner to antiques and little details (there are vases, jars, books, old doors, puppets...). The breakfast room has a big window with a view on the city. It also fills the room with a bright light and makes the buffet even more tasty. The bread is homemade and the omeletts are prepared in front of you. This hotel has also great showers: the water comes hot and with a great pressure. It is like a massage!

This hotel is a charming oasis in the heart of Sucre. The colonial building, airy courtyard, and city views are great. But what makes it so special is how much they tend to the details. Everyday, we would see staff gardening, touching up paint, sweeping up fallen leaves, lighting candles, and other small things that make the place feel cared for and fresh. The staff not only care about maintaining the hotel, they care about the guests. They are very friendly and helpful. We loved the Chicheria for a nightly beverage before heading out to dinner. Oh, and I should mention that the shower was excellent - the best we had on our whole trip to Bolivia and Peru.

Room tip: Room 34 has great views

We have now stayed at the Samary 4 or 5 times over the past three years, each time for at least two weeks. It is a beautiful place, right in the center of town...yet peaceful and quiet. Great staff, nice rooms, wonderful showers (a rarity in Bolivia) excellent breakfasts with a staff willing to make whatever you want.

Room tip: If you love sunshine and views choose the third floor options of #30, #31, #32 or #34 if you want a tranquil garden setting with fountains and easy access choose room #14 or #16

Just cross the hotel door of this small and charming hotel, leaving out the crowded streets of Sucre, and you feel immediately home, in a oasis of peace. Quiet spanish patio with the spacious rooms facing it. The hotel is very well redesigned with comfortable beds. Wonderful city view from breakfast terrace on the top floor. Highly recommended choice.
